So many questions by so many people

Tue Jun 19, 2012 9:31 pm

Its interesting reading the recent debates and all of the questions being asked.

Why didn't someone ask these questions when we signed Chopra, Bellamy, Koumas, Ramsey and all of the others? Why didn't someone ask these questions when Dave Jones was still being paid even though Malky was our new manager, we could have had Dave Jones for another year? Why didn't someone ask these questions when compensation had to be paid for Malky and the rest of his people?  Why didn't someone ask these questions when the new owners setup various Cardiff City schemes in Malaysia? Perhaps some of you did ask these questions, so apologies in advance of getting archived posts.

Why didn't we ask these questions and why didn't we ask who is paying and can we afford it? I am sure some of you did, but we did not stop going to see the team and did not protest about the ever increasing debt.

The same questions were I am sure raised when we had Ridsdale, Sam, Clemo, the Butlins bloke and all of the other failed chairmen, owners or whatever you what to call them.

If we weren't changing from blue to red, would we be asking any of these questions? Don't think so, because we were enjoying the experience - play-off's, Wembley, Wembley and Wembley. We have never had it so good.

However much we don't like red, the badge, the pies, (I think they are all bollocks) the reality is we sold out many many years ago to the highest bidder and the history of mismanagement is now our legacy.  We have been shafted in the past and perhaps we will again, but at the moment we have no bloody option but to cross our fingers, wait and hope. So why not give them the benefit of the doubt, like we all have in the past two years.

Potentially we are screwed either way, but if they are true to their word then we have a future, if not we all have some old blue shirts to remind us of the past especially the one with Super Ted !!!

I have certainly been asking questions but unfortunately I constantly get ridiculed and frowned at by the same names time and time again.

Nobody wanted to believe it when I said we were £70million in debt, very few believede when I said the Malaysians have been underwriting the club to the tune of £1.2million a month but now it is public knowledge the very same people are up in arms, shame on them, because when Carl says it ' it is bullshit' but when it is proved correct they use the info for their agenda.

Read this thread for at least an idea of what I mean viewtopic.php?f=2&t=73581

The vast majority of us Carl respect your posts and most of what you put in them turns out to be true in the long run.

Don't let the few who seem to enjoy nothing more than sniping at you get to you - one of the main reasons this mb is as good as it is because of your posts :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Keep up the good work :ayatollah:

We all loved the loan signings (well some of them) but it all costs money. We knew Bellamy was being directly funded from Malaysia but no protests about over spending and no questions about the Malaysians then. Ok perhaps some did ask questions but were ignored.

We all got sucked in and dared to live the dream, like seemingly every other club supports do. What would have happened if we won the Carling Cup Final, we would have wanted more players to get the promised land, more spending as we would have all felt this was our time.

Its shit, no one likes it, but we are where we are.

The debate should move beyond red and blue to live within our means or continue to rely on knights in shining armour.

I would just love it if someone could tell me that, this time next year the club would have no debt.

I would give up promotion for a balance sheet that was not in the red or at least only in the red to the sum of our assets.

Jump in anytime you want Carl. :D
