I am a very proud Welshman and when Wales are playing any sport, I am fully supportive of my country against any nation, but I am also British and if we (Wales) are not represented, I'm in full support of the other home countries in tournaments, remember we are a very small group of islands.

Perhaps it's because of my father's involvement in World War 2, where irrespective of your place of birth, eveyone was together and watching each others backs, I would think it's the same today with our current forces around the world, just a thought, I am proud to be Welsh but I'm also very proud to be British.

The English treat the welsh with utter contempt. I support any country in any sport against them as thats the way I feel about the constant 'we we we' and 'us us us' on BRITISH not ENGLISH tv and in the BRITISH not ENGLISH media. They have no respect for Wales as a nation and so fek em…………I hope they get twonked and I will be 100% behind Italy.

Just in case you hadn't worked it out for yourself I'm English It wasn't until it was pointed out to me quite a few years ago how biased the English media was that i 'sat' up and took notice. I fully agree with your observation. A classic example of this was when I was working away in Ipswich. Wales beat Germany (Ian Rush's class goal) whilst England played a meaningless friendly on the same night. I was looking forward to watching the game that night on BBC. HOWEVER....they only showed Rushie's goal then AFTER they had showed extended highlights of Englands game Really pissed off. Still I thought I will read the reports in the papers the next day.......what a joke. About 1 square inch of report as opposed to 2 full pages all about England's magnificent performance. Threw the papers in the bin and f****d off to work.BIASED understates it

I enjoy your posts Saddles, they make me laugh but I cannot agree with your anti English feeling, you may be a young person, I don't know, but the English have more respect for Wales than you think,

Personally, I can't stand England because of their arrogance. They are our neighbour and our "big brother" who rub our noses in it when they achieve something, claiming to be "superior" to us while ourselves and the rest of the home nations are "inferior". I love to see them continually fail to wipe their smug arrogant smirks off their faces.
