I know what you mean, but that still doesn't change the fact that Langston being paid now would suit us all.

He can't be the enemy the guy is proping the club up and, debt aside, he should be thanked for this.

Just trying to see the difference between £3million now + £7million in May 2013 and £10million now, especially as VT himself has said that there is £10million put aside to settle the Langston debt.

Because £7 million will become £3 million......they will try it.

Agreed but at the best terms for the good of the club, not Langston, if VT is a good negotiator and it is playing hardball what's wrong with that, the club will benefit and maybe would have a greater playing budget.....

You are probably right but it is my understanding that the £7m will have a 1st mortgage charge?

So if VT did try reducing that amount then Sam would really have VT by the bollocks as he dragged him into court.

In principal you are correct of course.

However, we are all starting to suffer from 'Langston fatigue' and it would be great to just get shot of it.

Or could it be pay £3m this season, invest more heavily in the squad, get promoted and then £7m becomes a smaller constituent of a much larger budget... financial fair play anyone????

I trust the Malaysians and they are the future for our club :ayatollah:

I think Sam deserves his fair share back, but if by negotiation, the Malaysians can get to the situation where they pay less, then that's fine by me :ayatollah:

Agreed, the latest is spend less on players, don't have the training facility that Malky wants to have the whole club together, and keep paying rent, by pay Langstone back instead

By paying the monthly losses last season, and putting up £25 million for the coming seasons expected financial shortfall

2+2 doesn't always equal four but on this occasion it does. Nail/head  . This forum, in the eyes of some has always been associated as a bit of a mouthpiece for Sam and many would say it's getting worse as time goes by. Is that something to do with the fact Sam didn't get his own way in recent negotiations for the Langstone debt? We often hear this talk of goalposts being moved etc etc with regard to negotiations between Sam and VT. Where do we think this talk comes from in the first place? Doesn't take a genius to work out, does it? Why don't people keep quiet and let the negotiations go on in the background? It will get settled eventually, won't it?. Be careful Sam and others speaking for him, don't bite off the hand that feeds you (you don't want to destabilize the club do you?) because if the Malaysians walk don't forget your debt is unsecured and you will end up with 1% of feck all if your lucky wont you?. VT is a preferential creditor and what with him building training grounds and houses of sport and a new stadium which is going to be expanded and a half decent squad in the process of being built. VT is busy building Assets for the club and covering his own ass. So when he decides enoughs enough, he ain't gonna lose out he'll walk away with most if not all of his investment tucked in his pocket won't he? He's not that daft is he? Shrewd businessman isnt he?. What will Sam walk away with? Do we want a club for our children and grandchildren to watch? or does Sam and others want to continually stir the pot? I have a suggestion lets make some threads about football and transfers and the like on this football forum, it is a football forum isn't it? and let Sam and VT negotiate the debt issue in the background :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:
