Their old Nickname was for years the dolphins, but due to fan power they are now known as the seagulls in direct response to their rivalry with their old adversaries Crystal palace the Eagles.

Well now they have another fight on their hands to keep the existing nickname, because the rest of British football refer to them as the pink pansies, got a ring to it mind.
