Apple iPod Nano help.

Mon Jun 18, 2012 7:49 pm

I've just purchased an ipod nano 8gb. I haven't registered it yet to my laptop/itunes as I want my mate to put songs(2500 tracks) on there from his itunes library. So is it best to register the nano on his laptop? If I do it that way would I then be able to use it on my itunes?

Assuming these are tunes he hasn't purchased through iTunes just get him to copy them on to a stick or portable drive directly from his of/laptop. They will be there in his iTunes directory and copyable, don't connect your iPod to his computer though.

The tracks he has are what he has put on his itunes library from his cd collection. So your saying he could DUPLICATE those to a memory stick and then I could then upload those to my itunes library and sync them to my nano. You reckon its best for me to register my nano to my laptop.

Yep if he has just imported from cd they won't be iTunes protected, he will have an iTunes folder in his music directory on his pc, just copy that folder on to a memory stick and then when you are up and running import the tunes on the stick to your iTunes account.
