So you're saying that the Malaysians will pop in 100 mil and say there you then. You don't think that they will want it back?
Loose change from their pockets I suppose?
They will want their money back at some point.

In a debt-for-equity swap, a company's creditors generally agree to cancel some or all of the debt in exchange for equity in the company.
Debt for equity deals often occur when large companies run into serious financial trouble, and often result in these companies being taken over by their principal creditors. This is because both the debt and the remaining assets in these companies are so large that there is no advantage for the creditors to drive the company into bankruptcy. Instead the creditors prefer to take control of the business as a going concern. As a consequence, the original shareholders' stake in the company is generally significantly diluted in these deals and may be entirely eliminated

Or if they cut their losses and liquidate us. Other teams have thrown money at success and become unstuck, our own recent history should be a grave warning.
Perhaps after a few years being unsuccessful they decide the land would be better used as a shopping complex and casino. How long cam they throw money on a gamble for what is effectively a hobby for them.

Are you lot saying that really listening to yourselves? a 100 million 'free gift' ??
WE WILL NOT BE DEBT FREE, NOTHING IS EVER FREE.
If the above happens then all it means is the Malaysians will be the last debtor to be paid in the event of liquidation. As they are buying up all the other loan notes, they will be the only ones to pay, so they will get all the land and all the buildings as well as the sale of the playing squad.
In the meantime, they charge 7%. That's 7 million a year.
The good part is its less than 1.5 million a month that we a rumoured to be paying, but the scary part is, how long will they wait on their investment before they decide to cash in and limit their loss IF we don't somehow manage to gain promotion.
This red shirt thing is complete nonsense to me, they won't sell anywhere near enough shirts (if any) in the far east, not unless we're in the Champions League beating the likes of Barca.
Try telling Doncaster fans that red is lucky, and if red is so lucky over there then why does the Malaysian national team play in BLUE!!
Sorry, but it makes me angry to see threads where someone says we will be debt free, when in all reality we will not be.

I'll make it clear for you, the stadium can be used for nearly any function, rugby games, pop concerts, hockey, and and nearly any sport you can think of, but only if the main sport played there is Football, if the football club folded, then only another football club will be able to use it. ps if the debt is converted into shares then the Malaysians will own about 85% of the club and be the the owners at the moment they are only shareholders, hence the reluctance to pay off all the debts on their own
