If we are running at a loss of £1M a month, what loss are they running at?

They signed a glut of players last year with Sven as manager and payed a small fortune for them. With such a squad they never really threatened to make the play offs.

They are linked with anyone and everyone that is available. Already this pre-season they have signed Matty James and Ritchie De Laet from Man Utd, they have also signed highly rated Jamie Vardie from Fleetwood Town.

Nigel Pearson the current Leicester manager also says he wants several more players before the season starts.

Are their owners loaded or are they heading for problems?

He does not appear to spend his money wisely.

Cardiff and Leicester have wealthy far East owners, Leeds and Forest are in talks with wealthy investors from the far East. Wealthy people from the far East want to own Premiership clubs and see Championship clubs with potential as a better investment than going straight in and buying an established Premiership club.

I'm guessing it's shit or bust for them, just like us

I think our owners are certainly setting the club up for the long term.

If they were taking a punt at getting Cardiff up in the short term, they would not be thinking about training grounds and expanding the stadiums.

Whether you love them or hate them, our owners have long term plans for our club.

Perhaps they dont pay astronomical wages that we pay and have a better income stream.

I doubt it very much.

Their gates are similar to ours and they would only attract the players they have by paying them high wages.

Perhaps this will help explain something.

Oh and bear in mind they went into admin about 10 years ago, after having their new stadium built and getting something like £50m in debt they went bust and restarted with no penalties and no debt. Biggest cheats of the lot IMHO.

Oh and by the way that loss was to May 2011, before their splurges last season with Sven and the big signings... the loss was likely to be even higher for 2012.

Id still predict they market their club better than our shambles if a board
