Hello lads. Dundee United fan here. Posted a few times last year about the transfer of Conway and the near signing of Goodwillie.

If you sign Paul Dixon you are getting a very good left back. I know many Cardiff fans won't be too excited about getting a free contract from the SPL, but he is rated very highly in Scotland and I do not know a single Dundee United fan who is not gutted to see him leave.

Very much a modern full back in that he loves to bomb forward when he can and has a great delivery. Tough in the tackle and loves a battle. Throws in the odd rash challenge due to his commitment and eagerness to get on the ball. Has filled in at centre half on occasion but not the greatest header of the ball.

I would rate him higher than McNaughton and fellow full backs who have left the SPL for the championship (Danny Fox and Richie Foster). Also been in a few Scotland squads in the last couple of years. I would imagine there'll be several clubs in for him. Surprised Bristol City haven't signed him due to Derek McInnes knowledge of the SPL.

As long as he not afraid and can tackle take him. Drop Taylor finally. Had enough of him being afraid all the time. No muscle on the kid.

Probably useful that Conway and Dixon played together for a couple of years and both played down the left hand side for us (Dundee United). They always showed a great understanding and both got forward and tracked back well.

If Conway and Dixon both had a few years on their contract I reckon United would have got 2 million each for them.
