Rugby league or Rugby union?

Sat Jun 16, 2012 11:13 am

If you had to decide one to play or watch what would it be?

I'd rather play and watch rugby league as rugby union is shite

Union. Especially if its a game involving a southern hemisphere team like new zealand or south africa, rugby league reminds me of the playground game british bulldogs.

Watched both when I was in Sydney a couple of months ago, prefered the Sydney Roosters RL to the Waratahs RU, more exciting to watch.

Rugby Union. Way better to play, better to watch, far more skillful, far more diversity and so on.

(Rugby League is for handicapped northerners who like to SMASHY SMASHY BANG BANG!)

Talking about rugby! Wales through away a great opportunity to beat the wallabies over there today. How the fuk that reece preistland is playing for wales is beyond me. His decision making for a number 10 is appalling. Cost us that game, should have been dropped a long time ago.

League. Game flows quicker and the atmosphere reminds me of old school football.

Rugby Union is a more skilful game, although there are obviously talented league players (in a minority).

A very blinkered and ignorant opinion

In what way? I've played Rugby Union myself, and I've watched a fair amount of Rugby League.

League.

Not a big fan of Union but watched the Wales game in Briabane last week. Atmos was pretty bad but the game was ok I suppose.

Watched a load of league on TV here and the Atmos seems a whole lot better. Hoping to go watch the Broncos soon.

Totally agree. Preistland is the weak link in this Welsh side. Dan Bigger is not the answer either.

I would prefer Rugby Union. My boy plays Union and League, hence I like them both but would prefer Union.

"Handicapped Northerners"

"Talent is in the minority"

Very ignorant

As I've said elsewhere that was a joke.

I don't think he's actually trying to 'fool' people; irony perhaps?
