That must be the plan eventually, although there where will be parts which are dedicated to our history which will be forever blue.

On the upside those bloody awful Blues signs will go.

Yes the stadium will have red seats, the team playing in Red, the Red Dragon badge, And no its not Wrexham its the rebranded team that once were known as the bluebirds rip

Without wanting to be provocative, if we're going to be playing in red, surely it must make sense that the stadium changes to red in due course?

Saw the flooring company down there the other morning delivering two big rolls of Red Carpet and annis says they have started painting red.--Big job though to change all th lego bricks seats etc before August --

But say it doesn't work out and we end up going back to playing in blue after a season in red... That means we will have to put everything back as it was. Big gamble changing the stadium to red when nobody really knows if this re branding is going to be successful.

Did you know that Wrexham FC have had a number of different kit designs in their history:

Red & Black Strips Shirts White Shorts
White Shirts Black Shorts
Royal Blue & White Stripe Shirts White Shorts
Black ShirT with White Sleeves White Shorts
Navy Blue White Stripe Shirt Navy Blue Shorts
Navy / Royal Blue Half Shirts Navy Shorts
Royal Blue Shirts White Shorts :o
Red Shirts White Shorts
Red Shirts Red Shorts
Navy Blue White Band across chest Shirts Black Shorts
Navy Blue White Band across chest shirts White shorts

And pretty much any mix of socks with them.

But uou do make a good point and for me the biggest challenge our owners face in selling the rebrand to our fans. For me it's more about how the individual identifies with the club a bit like you have with Wrexham, I would have done exactly the same to me Wrexham play in red but history tells another story.

To me the colour of the seats is no important before Rick Wright put the seats on the bob bank there had never been blue seats inside Ninian Park. The colour of cladding outside the stadium or seats within the stadium are of secomdary importance against the challenge of how we as fans identify with our team.

I think Bill Shankly covered how many of us are feeling at the moment when he once said of the Liverpool ALL Scarlet (Not Red) playing strip.

"It has become a symbol of our spirit and an important part of our tradition"

For many thousands of our fans we identify Cardiff City FC with the colour Blue and probably above that we see the Bluebird as the symbol of our spirit.

That cannot be lost overnight and in my opinion could take as long as a generation and our owners need to understand that but as fans I believe we need to adapt for as long as we need to or as long as this rebranding exists.

Afterall it changing shirt colour can be done from one season to the next. Compare that to Ninian Park which has gone forever.
