A forum for all things Cardiff City

Some of the stuff I've read on here is understandable but utterly futile. What is to be ascheived by protesting? Tans statement to me clears everythign up - they are clearly preparing to go after the Chinese market - to the extent of bankrolling a push for the Prem and preparing to capitalise on shirt sales. We have a dragon as our emblem - it positions us as THE Welsh club in readiness. Seems like a sensible stratgey to me.
Now I've supported the club for 35 years through more desparate times than good. We are currently in a place we could never have dreamt about 10 years ago.
I look at it this way. My son will turn two soon. He will grow up supporting Cardiff City and he will grow up wearing a red shirt with the badge on it. When I tell him, 'you know son, we used to play in blue' it will be utterly meaningless to him because his team don't play in blue. They play in red. They play in blue away from home.
He will be no less a fan because of that and as far as history and heritage go:
Sam Hammam - who has plenty of mouthpieces on this board changed our badge to a bloody awful flag of St Davids in a shield.
He also wanted to take us to Dublin and play in green dont forget.
What these credible investors are doing is trying to take this club to the next level. You cant do that without a few folk getting upset along the way. 2 or 300 of you protesting about playing in blue is not going to raise a hair on one of Tans eyebrows let alone reverse his decision.
I look forward to our first signing and first game so we can get back to talking football because the red blue debate is frankly now a futile one. The guy who bankrolls us has made his decision.
CITY TILL I DIE.
