'Bored' Belgium fans sell themselves to Holland on eBay for Euro 2012!
A group of Belgian fans who put themselves up for sale on eBay after their team failed to qualify for Euro 2012, have been bought by an anonymous Dutch buyer for £2,400.
The fans insist they just want a team to shout for and will donate any monies received to Unicef.
‘It’s been 10 years since we competed in a big tournament. I’ve been too bored,’ Belgian fan Lieven Scheire told Real Time Brussels.
‘I definitely needed a team.’
However, it wasn’t all plain sailing for 20,000 supporters who sold themselves to the mysterious Dutch bidder.
‘There was one country that we were afraid would buy us. And that was Holland,’ added Mr. Scheire.
‘But after a bit of soul-searching and a quick trip across the border – to pick up a lot of orange stuff — I suddenly thought, “this is going to work”.
‘The Dutch have so many cliches that you can enthusiastically dive into.’

What makes this even more unusual is that the Belgians have a very strong dislike of both their near neighbours, and have nothing good to say about the French or the Dutch.... Don't think I could bring myself to support England, no matter how much was going to charity....

I'd sell myself to England and then wreak havoc in Ukraine, provide the Ukranian ultras with inside information about the English and what not.
