I would've included it, but until it gets a major european final I'm not sure it can be ranked alongside those.

That and the Azteca are the best outside Europe

Although I said the San Siro, the Bernabeu is amazing too, a cauldron.

The millennium is up there with the very best stadiums in the world. Its held a rugby worldcup final, fa cup finals, playoff finals, charity shields, Heineken cup finals, rugby league grand finals, huge concerts of the likes of u2 etc, its a magnificent stadium in a superb location smack bang in the middle of the city centre. Its a travesty that the 76thousand seater millstad with a roof hasn't held atleast a europa cup final when you consider a 50thousand stadium like the aviva has held a europa final. It can only be down to football politics why the millstad hasn't been chosen to hold a final. Its defo a uafa 5* rated stadium I'm sure.

I believe it's to do with not having a conference centre on site.
I believe thats why they wanted the arms park removed but it's never happened and with the stadium losing money it prob won't happen sadly.

is that what the reason is mate? Its a shame, I would absolutely love to see a major european final held at our national stadium. Roof shut under the lights in front of 70odd thousand...what an occasion that would be :ayatollah:

From what I've read yes, and it's a massive shame.
Apprently they need a conference centre on site or within walking distance and with our location that's impossible other than the arms park.
You would have noticed the stadium doesn't look complete at that end and that would be the expansion needed.

Hopefully if the Euro 2020 bid from the Celtic Nations comes off, I think Penydarren Park should host the final :ayatollah:

All the plastics are drooling over the thought that Cardiff will play a European cup final (Champions league or the plastics riot) at one of those stadiums, yes this is definitely one for the plastic army.

The cost is too much these days to watch sub-standard football. Also I think the atmosphere in Wales games are terrible these days.

£15 a ticket for international football? and guessing you havent been within the last year? the atmosphere in the Canton with the Barry Horns is outstanding!

The cost of going away I meant (first away game was Denmark in '98) and the atmosphere compared to how it used to be is rubbish.

I agree with this, I always go to the national side. Been to every Welsh home game in South Wales since 96, f**k going up to Wrexham though. :old: :old:

I long for the days of games at the Millenium though, go to the occasional away but I am too old for that now. :old:

so you haven't been away then and you are telling me that I'm turning my back on my country!!! Tell you what, until you have spent the amount of money which I have watching Wales over the years then you can come back and have a go
