Its held a rugby worldcup final, fa cup finals, playoff finals, charity shields, Heineken cup finals, rugby league grand finals, huge concerts of the likes of u2 etc, its a magnificent stadium in a superb location smack bang in the middle of the city centre. Its a travesty that the 76thousand seater millstad with a roof hasn't held atleast a europa cup final when you consider a 50thousand stadium like the aviva has held a europa final. It can only be down to football politics why the millstad hasn't been chosen to hold a final. Its defo a fifa 5* rated stadium I'm sure.

I believe it's to do with not having a conference centre on site.
I believe thats why they wanted the arms park removed but it's never happened and with the stadium losing money it prob won't happen sadly.

is that what the reason is mate? Its a shame, I would absolutely love to see a major european final held at our national stadium. Roof shut under the lights in front of 70odd thousand...what an occasion that would be
