Civil Bans?

Been happening for a while now.

Good mate of mine from Llanrumney in on one now.

They had a file on him, linking him to other know risk supporters, showing him drinking
with known 'risk' supporters'. Being in the area of known trouble spots, being close to a place
where trouble had occured.

Even though they have nothing on him for any specific event, he's basicly guilty by association
and banned under a preventative measure.

Theres nothing anyone can do about it cos nobody has the money needed to fight it, untill that happens it wil
continue.

Just to add, as not to mislead, that lad has been banned in the past.

But the argument is that he's served his time so should have a clean slate.

However, because he's known to have been involved before and still mixing with risk supporters
and been seen in trouble blackspots this is when they appeal for the civil ban.

For example, if you have never been in trouble in your life but are having a pint
with someone who got banned for 3 years for running on the pitch drunk in 1997 your
not going to fall into the category of getting done on a civil ban so you can rest easy.

There is 5 cardiff fans now up for same thing. One of them they have gone back 30 yrs for offences to collate that he needs to be banned because he could be violent. Maybe they should ban him from other things like going to the cinema .ffs. These hearings are to be at magistrates. They are not brought by the CPS but by the police .
