my letter to the club

Tue Jun 12, 2012 10:50 am

i am a long standing supporter of cardiff city football club..i have supported the club in excess of forty years.i have identified strongly with the club colours, club badge and name bluebirds..the owners have now decided to change these to create a corporate identity for purely business reasons to be marketable to potential asian supporters..i feel that my identification with the club has been severed.. i feel my past support has been ridiculed by the owners as the emblems and colours of the club i hold dear have been discarded so readily.. the rebranding of cardiff city is basically saying to loyal supporters that the original brand is worthless..the discerning potential asian supporters wouldnt associate themselves with the colour blue or our club badge or bluebirds..the merchandise bought by loyal cardiff city supporters at a premium to help fund the club..well no discerning asian supporter would buy it. owners who believe that our existing brand of cardiff city who play blue and who are the bluebirds arent worthy asian support are certainly not worthy of my support financially..i request a full refund of payment i made for the 2012...2013 season ticket

The name of the club is Cardiff City FC, it's still the same name now. That is the club i first started to support 40yrs + ago. Nobody wants the red kit but i would rather be where we are now than in a similar position to rangers who look like they are going to be liquidated. What is better, i know what i will pick every day.

How are you a loyal supporter?

What you've said is a contradiction

How can you be a loyal supporter and then say that you want a refund on your season ticket!?!?

Seriously, it's pathetic. You're not a loyal Cardiff supporter. If you were you wouldbe showing your support for the team an this season watching the bluebirds

Angryman, you are a fool. I read your posts purely for commedy value. You're a joke. f**k off and Go and support Merthyr town because you ain't Cardiff

you have not been told we are no longer the bluebird..we are the dragons..and the reason i have asked for my season ticket money back is because i was brought up supporting the bluebirds not the dragons..as far as am concerned the owners have lied to us fans and ripped the hart out of the club..would they go to celtic and tell them they had to play in red i dont think so..how many shirts do you think they will sell in the far east? enough to make this club stable and dept free....dont make me laugh...
