" BLUE ARMY " *UPDATE*

As you all know now this movement of fans is coming along nicely and it starting to look like something will happen.

We are currently looking to arrange a meeting with the club about our group and where they are willing to facilitate us in the ground. I and CardiffCityHD will keep you posted on the news and developments surrounding this.

Now this bring me onto the name, I have been in contact with someone very close to the club and he’s advising us to change our name, nothing too serious maybe the ‘BLUEBIRD ARMY’ or any suggestion you have as fans. The reason for this is he doesn’t want to see and portray us and an anti-red movement which we are far from. We welcome all fans regardless of what you think is right please join together and do the one thing you love support the club. Let the off field matters be dealt with by the club and focus on us as a fan group to really boost the atmosphere.

Now onto location, there are many places we could go e.g. canton, corner between canton and Ninian or the Ninian itself. Also I think the way forward would to be swapping the canton and family stands around thus generating noise either sides of the away fans. The main reason being its not nice for small children in the family end to have to endure 90 minutes of abuse, but this wouldn’t be a problem if the stands were swapped. With regards to the meeting the details there are still on going and we will be looking to consolidate a time and date for this meeting to go ahead.

I urge all city fans who want to sing and make their voices heard to join this movement and help us put the atmosphere we had in Ninian Park into the Cardiff City Stadium.

Arfur Europe is still in possession of the giant FA cup flag, that would look awesome waved around prior to kick off but dont surf it keep it with you guys in the Blue Army as there it went wrong previously being surfer. PM him Im sure he would be happy to give the flag to you,

Would be amazing to have it in the "Family stand" 1 or 2 blocks full of us lot. Think the club need to realise that the families that sit there become targets of abuse from away teams most home games. Be great to have the giant flag in that section along with banners on the front, scarfs or anything we can get our hands on. Would be a great help if they could swap the stands, hoping they would.
All in all, Great idea mate, i'm definitely for it!

well we got merchindise lined up anyway so thats, scavers flags, banners, t-shirts, foil sheets, confetti, ballons the whoel f*cking lot pal

Well done TrueBlue7. It's really refreshing to see somebody taking positive action, instead of the many on here who just moan about the new stadium and the lack of atmosphere.

Really hope this works, and I'll be keeping a close eye on how this progresses.

confetti and balloons? sounds more like a bar mitzvah than a blue army group. Good to see new ideas being brought forward and a huge interest in it. I think you'll find a lot of people willing to help out and carry this forward. Just need the club to be willing to let this happen, they need to be understanding because they have dissapointed a lot of fans over the past few weeks. (not starting any blue/red arguments)

I think it's an excellent idea to swap the ends...... but....... I think the police etc prefer us to be as far away as possible for obvious reasons... but with all the camera's they have in the ground etc and no one wants to cause trouble any more as it means a life time ban........ so i'm all for it!!! give it your best shot, back to the grange endddddddddddd!!!!!!!!! bluebirds!!
