Genuine question...

Thu Jun 07, 2012 8:20 pm

If things are going badly next season and we are sitting, for example, in the bottom half of the table half way through next season (even if we've spent money on players)... do you think more fans will slowly start to turn against all these plans?

I just fear that if this happens, our attendances at the CCS could then sink to record lows, with more and more season ticket holders staying away from games and i would hate it if our stadium turned out like Middlesboro's with more empty seats than fans and an atmosphere worse than it was last season, if thats possible.

I just think that so many fans might be for all this change because it could lead to Premier League football. But if it doesnt, and there are no guarantees, what will happen then?

I know people are gonna say that the "real" fans approve this change because it secures stability rather than helps a Premier League push. But even if that were true, let's be honest, the reality is that a lot (NOT ALL) fans are for this because of the success it MIGHT bring.

We could be in mid table lower table whatever colour we play in. I think people will only get disillusioned if we see more of the dross that was on offer towards the end of last season rather than because of any rebranding.

thats a good question mate, as we saw with Leicester last season, spending bucket loads of money on players doesnt guarantee you success. I dont think the fans will stop watching, but the i dread to see the reactions if the worst does happen.

I have faith in Malky to add to the squad decently, as we all know, he worked wonders with what he had available last summer, I can only smile at the prospect of what he can do with a bit of money :ayatollah:

believe my friend! :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I hope we dont spend big CJ, as shown in my post above, Leicester did it and had a stinking season. Bellamy as a marquee signing, and a couple of additions to beef up the squad will do nicely! :ayatollah:

Exactlly I think the malaysians know Malky can work on a tight budget so will give him a few extra bob to make it a bit easier but not spending over the top

I'm going to wait and see who he brings in first before I start believing but I do believe we will get there if not this year next year
