Club want to get rid of a certain kind of fan?

Just thinking... Could this whole rebranding affair also be a way of ensuring that a certain kind of fan "voluntarily" turn their back on the club and walk away?
Even before any of the rebranding I've wished that these fans who seem to think that they are better than the rest of us would walk away. But they would never do that... Until now.
We all know the kind... "I'm a more important fan than you because I can name the two subs that weren't used in a game against Barnet in '93," etc. etc. Or the "fans" who claim to love the City more than the rest of us, simply because they go to more away games, etc. The "fans" who seem to hate "new" fans who haven't been to a division four game. The same ones who can't seem to understand that, however much the rest of us love the City, we do realise that it is only a game and that there are other things in life that ultimately matter much, much more.
If, as I think, the club fully hope to see these "fans" turn their back and walk away after the rebranding, then I applaud the decision.
If they do walk away, I only wish we'd rebranded sooner.
