ENGLAND switch to yellow

ENGLAND have confirmed the national team will play in yellow from next season onwards after the FA formally unveiled the team's new image.
The switch - which also includes a new England flag and which comes into effect immediately - comes after the FA’s hierarchy approved the decision at a board meeting.
An FA spokesman explained the reasons for the drastic switch: “We chose yellow as that’s the colour of Brazil, there must be a reason why they are so successful at tournaments. We believe with a yellow shirt we can be as successful as the South Americans. Also, Brazil shirts sell really well all over the world, in Africa yellow is seen as the lucky colour.”



The rebranding of the England team doesn’t stop at the playing strip. The new England flag was also introduced today, which contains the traditional cross of St. George but also the German colours.
The reason sounds plausible: “Germany is one of the superpowers at tournaments. They have the luck on their side, especially at penalty shootouts. The new flag is the perfect addition to the new yellow shirt, with that much of positive fortune, England will be unbeatable.
