Fans who buy a "Red Home Shirt"

Wed Jun 06, 2012 6:19 pm

Hopefully - they won't get any grief at the stadium or anywhere in-fact, from their own fans! I think if that shit happens then these abusive supporters of the club should be banned permanently!

We will no doubt get a new following as we do every season. Only now, they will stand out like a sore thumb instead of blending in with everyone else.

I have seen people tweeting already that they WILL be buying the red shirt because they don't care what their home team plays in, they are there to support the club! and if anyone starts giving them grief over their new shirt or because they presume them to be a "PRO-RED" as some people are calling them already on this forum, then they will get more than they bargain for!

Personally - I don't care what Cardiff fans wear to a football match - they are our clubs shirt and are fans of the same team - they can buy what they want!

I certainly won't be buying a red shirt because I am in the category that only accepts this re-branding issue for the good of the club and investment. Even my young lad (who is clearly not clued up on all this comotion) fancies a red shirt! So I have to consider buying him one......

Always a blue-bird though, me!
Will continue to sing the same songs, Damn I might even get my Ninian Park centenary shirt out just to make a point. But we have to move forward as a club now, and accept everything that has happened. Red Blue Yellow White Black - We're still all singing from the same song sheet no matter how you look at it.

Just leave the fans be - and forward your anger to whom it may concern!

Good post, but there will always be some bellends who will either give abuse to a fellow supporter or actually use violence.

If you want to buy a shirt then buy a blue one. We must force these Malaysians away.

Re: Fans who buy a "Red Home Shirt"

Although personally I won't be buying a red top I respect the right for others to buy and wear what they want.

I'd be far more disgusted by fans giving abuse than fans wearing a red top.
But then I've seen our fans do a number of things I don't approve of.

It will work both ways.

If anyone has a go at people wearing Blue Shirts, they to will get
more than they bargain for as you say.

Doubt if anyone will get anything said to them after buying a BLUE shirt? If I bought one then yes, it would be blue! But im not going to. I have my Ninian Park shirt which I'm far more proud of.

Kids on the other hand, (as you will know if you have any) Get their hearts set on something - and there's no changing their mind!

that's gota be a first. Home fans having to cover there colours up for fear of getting a smack around the canister off other home fans lol

Merlin.

I reckon it could work both ways.

There are people out there who reckon those against the Red are putting the clubs
future at risk.

It wouldnt surprise me if people who chose to wear blue could equaly find themselves open to abuse or threats, same
as those wearing red.

All of which would be a disgrace as we are all Cardiff fans.

no fans should be abusive to their own fans full stop. Its pathetic and stupid

Re: Fans who buy a "Red Home Shirt"

merlin your lad should be able to wear his red shirt with pride just like we do with our retro wear and blue tops
Id much rather see young people wear the red of cardiff city than a chelsea/man u/liverpool shirt

I don't think there are any PRO REDS or people that wanted red over blue. As mentioned many times, the MAJORITY of us only reluctantly accepted rebranding for a simple reason. Doesn't mean any of us want to have Red as a home colour....

I cant see anyone having a go at a child for wearing a Red shirt either, but thats whats being suggested. Do we realy think
we have fans who would abuse children for the colour of their shirt?

Excellent post Merlin - I agree with every word you say, and the same applies in reverse to fans who still feel passionately that they will only wear blue shirts. :ayatollah:

I will be buying the both shirts for me and my boy and I will still wear them with pride.

WE SUPPORT CARDIFF CITY not the colour of the shirt!

I buy all the kits, and if I have any sly comments about wearing red I will be seeing red and they will be tasting the red coming from their nose! Also a life ban from football  :ayatollah: :old:

Force the Malaysians away!!!! Please do enlighten us as to who you are going to find to provide the finances to ensure the club survives if you had your way and forced them out. I wish you people would stop acting like spoilt kids.

It doesn't matter what colour Cardiff shirt you wear, as long as it is one

It always makes me cringe, especially when it's XXXXXL and accompanied by a massive spare-tyre.
