The investment.

Wed Jun 06, 2012 4:06 pm

I will not mention the P word in this topic, this is a serious post, if you don't like me then f**k off to Old Trafford.

All this investment is relying on what? Heavy shirt sales in the Far East which I am confident is not going to bring us the money the Malaysians are promising it will. It is also relying on Promotion to the premiership (Not the P words I was referring to). Now the prudent spending budget promised will be no where near the amount that some fans are suggesting it's going to be, there will not be heaps and heaps of signings so get that into your thick skulls.

If we do not achieve high shirt sales and promotion then the Malaysians will have a lost a lot of money for one season, I cannot see them hanging around for much longer leaving us in a HUGE mess. That is why I am against the Malaysians, this money simply isn't there. They would have spend in January when we were odds on for promotion.

Youv'e bitten into the Malaysian pill. I hope you choke in it.

If we don't go up next season they will have a lot of problems on their hands.

Expectations now have gone from like last season mid table to huge and promotion.

If the money was a promise then they need to start letting us know their intentions and how much will be available cos as u say it won't be £100 m

At last a response by a real fan addressing the real issues, those that are ignoring the facts and just having a f*cking pop can do one. Jules we need to see proper plans not just the rhetoric of "We will spend on the training ground and stadium".

And Handball that is exactly what I mean by the P word, I should have used bandwagoners though. :old:

Since you haven't used the 'p' word I'll try to formulate a response.

Our club is losing 1.2 million a month and that needs reducing, the Malaysians are Apprantly trying to increase or I suppose create sales of merchandise in a area of the world that really matters to businesses everywhere!
Manchester united have just bought a Japanese fella from Germany, now he may be a good player but don't tell me there's not a sub plot of money making is his transfer, shirts sales in Japan to boost revenue and make their club EVEN MORE appealing in Japan.

We are no Man Utd, but we've got two experienced Asian buisnessmen who know the market and feel they can exploit it in our favour. One things for sure, they know alot more on the matter than you or I.
Let's give them a chance to do so without the vocal minority trying to stop what they are trying to achieve before its even started.

We've got to put our faith on these businessmen, they are the only opportunity we have to push on.

Kagawa is an excellent player. We cannot attract him to this club or any other decent Far eastern player. Why will the Malaysians want to support Cardiff? A team they won't be able to see play on TV much and will be playing the likes of Peterboro and Huddersfield each week.

They won't care about ss, QPR have Malaysian owners too, if anything they will support them if they are looking for a Malaysian club to support they will support them. :old:

I don't believe it's purely shirt sales. I suspect the change to red will make it slightly easier with regards to marketing in China, which is a massive emerging market for football. UK, European money is drying up. Everyone in the Uk chasing the same dwindling pot.

I suspect the bigger aim is sponsorship money. Plenty of other potential revenue streams.

Even without promotion,. if .0000001% of the Chinese market can be realised, well, with a population of 1bn, that's still some nice extra money we're not getting now.

Mr since 1948

Why did u only join this forum last month?
Why have u only spouted crap and negativity since then?
Not many people called David Davies about? So who are u really? Polo went away around then, then u arrived bit of a coincidence really

I think u r the plastic to be honest either that or you have a weak grip on reality

Even if he has been a fan for 2 weeks mate, his post has substance. And no ones seems to have these answers. Anyone who beleived a change to red would bring about a 100m investment is a f*cking moron.

If 100m is ploughed in as ordinary share capital tomorrow I stand corrected.

The 'P' word he's avoiding... Is it 'prick' by any chance in relation to himself?

Sorry, couldn't resist!

It's a good bit of business for the club, and the club is the same. Only the colour is different.

Here here pal, here f*cking here.

I'l sit tight to be honest but if he is relying on Cardiff getting to the Premiership THIS season then I am afraid we are going to be in the red in more ways than one. BIG TIME. :old: :old: :old: :old:

Re: The investment.

Wed Jun 06, 2012 6:25 pm

i might have missed something but as far as i can make out even though we have changed to red we will still be losing over 1 million pounds a monthand the debt has doubled in the last 2 years even though the big earners are no longer at the club and have been replaced with players on much lower wages and also dave jones has been replaced by malky who is on a much lower salary things don't add up if you ask me and i still don't understand how the rebranding is going to stop this short fall in the monthly cost of running the club, they can't blame the debt because langstone haven't recieved a penny yet, can someone explain

Re: The investment.

There is no investment. That slimy c**t doesn't have an ounce of honour.

Writing a cheque out to yourself then loading the pretend debt back on the club isn't an investment, its scamming the fans again.

We'll be like MK Dons. But in time, merged with the jacks and franchised off to some godforsaken pisshole in a paddyfield.
And no, I'm not joking.

So the £40million he's put into the club already isn't investment? The new training facilities, house of sport 2, stadium expansion, giving is the remaining funds for the Keenor statue etc.. None of that is investment is it?

Some people ain't got a f**king clue

So apparently you're 69 and you tell other people to die and you call 16 year olds twats.

What if the success came? Then you'll soon be calling for a Wembley ticket, what if we got into the prem? Without that expansion you're not gonna get 35k into on 27k seated stadium you soft tw*t.
