A forum for all things Cardiff City

lots of talk over the red v blue issue made me recall that when I first took my youngest son down to city at about age 6 the jersey he wanted was Neil Alexanders kit the red goal keepers jersey because red was his favourite colour He had never played as a keeper but he was attracted to that kit. He later went on to play for the academy for many years and his first game he played in as a central defender was in a red kit I was so proud on that day The game was at Treforest so a home game as well.
I was slightly disappointed that he never came out in the blue kit as you dream about your boys playing in Cardiff blue but my disappointment went when one of the parents shouted bluebirds and come on Cardiff. My son did not give a dam what colour he was playing in and I really don't think any of the kids or parents did either as there boys were playing for Cardiff City
One thing is all city fans are united together we would all love us to stay blue if that was an option and the investment came whatever I will support city in whatever they play in
However change our name or move out of the city then I will be off just like Dons fans did before us.Some may say I have sold my soul but after 35 years as a season ticket holder I would like to think my heart and soul would tell me when I have done that and watching Cardiff in another colour does not seem to be that bad to me at the moment. But I rather remain Blue
