TOMORROWS ANNOUNCEMENT!!

It is going to be what everyone is being told, red home kit, blue away and black as the 3rd kit, the badge will be a red dragon with a bluebird attached to it, (we had a bigger badge change when Sam went for the St Davids cross) Langstone (Sam) will now accept the offer of £3 million up front and the other £7 million paid up over the next 12 months, the reason he has changed his mind is because the debt will now be changed into equity by VT meaning that it is now secured. The new state of the art training complex will now go ahead and Malkys budget for the coming season (including wages) will be double that of last season. My opinion is that this is great news for the club, at last we will be debt free, VT is now in it for the long term because of his financial commitment and Malky can now look to the transfer market with serious money to spend, as for the kit change, i would have prefered to keep blue but not at the expense of losing the £100 million investment, don,t forget, in future there could always be a change back in kit colours if wanted by the supporters but how oftern is a £100 million investment put on the table????

Does the bit highlighted mean that Sam will be given 7 million worth of shares i.e. equity Cityone? How does that work then, VT gives Sam the shares then buys them back over 12 months or am I pissing on the wrong lamppost? All good news although I'd prefer to keep the shirt blue, don't give a shit about the badge though.

Before we jump the gun a little here , think back 2 seasons ago when dave Jones had 1 of the biggest budgets in this Division and we still failed in the play offs ..... Im not being negative but at the end of the day splashing out huge amounts on players and wages doesnt guarantee instant promotion . Im sure Malky will spend wisely

I agree, Reading and Southampton haven't spent big and gone up...but look at Leicester, Matt mills was easily one of best centre half's in the league two years ago, went for the money, he cant even get in Leicester side and Jermaine beckford scored a few in premier league, he can't get in there side now either

Sorry i have not explained it right, Sam was not happy with the agreement a couple of weeks ago because he did not know if VT was going to fully committ himself to the club after the first carry on with the rebranding, therefore Sam wouldn.t have had any charge/security on his pay back terms, now, with VT committing himself to the club with his investment turning to equity/shares Sam is happy to go along with the original agreement.

I believe Sams payment is all hard cash.

so if memory serves right last year we spent about 2 and a half million on player miller mason turner so what there gunna give us 5 million if its doubled?

Southampton had one of the biggest wage and player budgets of the lot last season. their squad was about 10 players bigger than ours.

They were losing money at a similar rate to us, just lucky to be backed by a rich owner.

i'm sure i read somewhere that West Ham's wages last year was £33 mill.
