I WOULD RATHER A RED CLUB THAN NO CLUB

Tue Jun 05, 2012 11:11 am

Before the abuse starts, I like every other Cardiff fan wants the traditional blue to remain and also the nickname bluebirds

Although we are all aware of the massive amounts of debt that we have, and the fact that we cant remain or operate the way we are at the moment.

If the plans come out that we are turning red, I like all will be massively dissapointed, but in the back of my mind I am thinking that if we dont adapt to this new idea, we might have no club to support at all.

I would still rather us struggle in blue in the lower leagues than go to red. Us playing in red will be like watching a totally different club to me who I won't have any passion or affiliation for. Whether we are red or dead makes no difference to me, my club play in blue and I won't support any other club apart from Cardiff City in blue playing with a bluebird on our badge.

Well you got it comming as already said.

We WILL be playing in red, at home next season;
We WILL be playing in blue away next season;
3rd Kit is similar to our current black 3rd kit.

The badge will have a large dragon with a minuture bluebird on it with the words FIRE AND PASSION written.

Vincent Tan will invest the "£100million"

Langston has been offered a new deal with guarantees that if they are not paid by a certain date in the near future they get FIRST CHARGE of the club.

The supporters club poll was a heavy influence on the decisions that have been made today.

Above sickens me :(

I would like to see that too. I was under the impression that there's either f*cking money, or there isn't f*cking money - didn't realise the money only magically appears when our club gets raped so hard it turns red.

Estimated £70m debt and being baled out to the tune of £1.2m a month. Who else have we got to take that on? Like it or not its happening and if it comes off will give us success we've only dreamt of.

The dept is the Malaysians fault and has almost tripled since they took over so if the club is costing us 1.2 mill a month then they only have themselves to blame.

So if we go red all that debt automatically disappears?

Yes. That's what the investment is for. Turn the debt owed to the Malaysians into shares, pay off Langstone at a reduced rate. The change of colour & badge is aimed at increasing our image/shirt sales/sponsorship in the far east. Hopefully then we would't need to be baled out each month.

Are you really suggesting that the debts the club are incurring are totally down to the Malaysians spending habits. Of course they could have prevented the Langstone debt increasing in the books when they let the deadline pass and of course they could have sold star players year on year as was the previous chairman's policy but hey perhaps they know what they are doing

Oh you missed an opportunity with that thread title. Should have said "I WOULD RATHER A RED CLUB THAN A DEAD CLUB"

Does it have to be one or the other?
