Cardiff City Chief Executive Alan Whiteley has today added his approval of manager Malky Mackay's long term commitment to the club.

"We're delighted that the manager has put his own statement out to end the rumour and speculation linking him with Norwich," Alan said on Monday.

"We had not received any official approach from Norwich despite the rumour and speculation. It's always a worrying time, flattering on one level that a higher club in the Premier League comes in for your manager as it means you are doing something right. But he had assured me from the start that his future was at Cardiff, that we had started something and that he wanted to see it through."

just reading the statement from malky says hes in France and reading about sigurdarson says hes in canne
Following press speculation linking Malky Mackay to the vacant managerial position at Norwich City, the Bluebirds boss has today moved to assure supporters of his long term aspirations at Cardiff City.

Speaking to Sky Sports from France he said, "I'm very flattered to be linked with Norwich as it's a club close to my heart from my playing days there. I have very good friends within the club and greatly respect Delia Smith and her fellow majority shareholder Michael Wynn Jones.

- We have received specific requests for Björn. That's all I will say, said sporting director Torgeir Bjarmann to TV 2 Sport.

Championship club Cardiff have made contact with Lillestrøm, hoping to buy the Icelandic striker. But they will battle for the great talent - from, among others, Stale Solbakken and Wolverhampton. Also Everton and Reading have been linked to 21-year-old.

When TV 2 met Solbakken at the airport Monday morning - on the way to a vacation in Cannes the Norwegian manager would not say much about the interest in Sigurd Arson.

- I do not comment on individual cases, said Solbakken, who sat in the stands when the Lillestrøm met Aalesund.

Close friend of the Solbakken,Bjarmann , is kept well informed about the other bidders at Sigurd Arson.
maybe malky sorting the deal as we speak? maybe putting 2-2 together making 25 lol

If Rodgers goes for him, he will go to LFC. If its just out of those three, it will be EFC, but they dont have wads of cash, unless this Summer is different but I think that they would want to buy Peannir from Spurs first so if its us v Reading not to bad.
