Can't believe how expensive its been here ... thank fck its not coming out of my pocket
The road layouts are also manic in alll 3 cities but given the choice it would have to be Perth should I come into some money.A

In Brisbane at the moment. Spent a couple of months I'm Sydney in Kings Cross which is an eye opener. All good fun though! Brisbane is a lot quieter than Sydney but enjoying it.

Lived in Sydney for two years and worked in the Kings Cross branch of Westpac. Good to hear that its still an eye opener!!! The best time of my life but that was over 10 years ago now

Came back last month, always have a good time, love Sydney where my daughter lives, can't wait to go out again for three months next year.

I've been all over Oz but never been to Perth, heard it's good, visited Canberra and Darwin this time, Darwin was a great experience.

Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney have some funny weather in the winter, this time of year you are bettter off in Perth and the top end in the tropics, it is quite expensive compared to eleven years ago when I first went, but food and booze isn't too bad if you look around for meal deals, happy hours and some pubs do a beer of the month with $10 steaks and $3.50 schooners.:)

Bangkok is madness. The Cross is just full of strip clubs and junkies. All the nightclubs are owned by a drug lord and you'll see a lot of bike gangs about. Was there for a couple of months and guaranteed to be a shooting atleast once a month. It's a crazy place.

Patpong only worth a beer to say you've been there then get out. Rip off place and much better off in soi cowboy or even the nana plaza (not as bad for ladyboys as the sky living show the other day made out!). Even better give bangkok a day then head down to pattaya. A million times better.

As for kings cross I agree it's a shit hole with drugged up women and shit watered down beer. No point going there, get on the pull in the rocks area. The orient was always a great bar. Sydney a great city though and few can beat it for views.
