MY FAVOURITE ADAM BROWN POST

Sun Jun 03, 2012 8:23 pm

Re: Adam Brown. Merthyr fan.

Unlike my others County Councillors throughout the UK I ensured that I would use as many forms of communication with the people. This methods included internet forums, my own website and so on.

However if that is wrong of me then I would suggest to keep on voting for individuals who never communicate with the public and just sit on their backsides doing nothing!!!

only normally comment on swansea topics but i have to say you do come over as a bit of a tw*t

That's because I like being a year so what's new ?

Which year are you?

My apologies there I was meant to say tw*t. Lol

Easy mistake to make, year--twat, twat-- year, I mix them up all the time, My favourite year is that one between Cheryl Coles legs, pity she so young when was she born wasn't it 19,tw*t, tw*t,

Other than me mixing up the Thailand flag for the Malaysian flag, and hey and it was live, there'd be no programmes to show on it'll be alright on the night if we was all perfect and it was that easy, but in all honesty I was f*cking tamping, thinking our own fans may have played a part if f*cking up the investment did press a few of my buttons.
But as for everything else, I still stand by what I said, everyone can be wiser after the event, but I still have the same worries I had then and for the life of me, if the Red shirt was critical to us having the promised investment then in my eyes it was a price worth paying. I didn't want too play in red, I didn't want to change from blue, but as with the majority of people I was prepared to accept change if that was what the Malaysian requested to proceed with their plans.

And yes (and this isn't me having a go at the Malaysians or being negative ) at the end of the day, they could have still turned around and shafted us, but didn't they deserve a bit of trust after what they have done for us so far.
Some times you have to take risks and make sacrifices, didn't someone say, " if in life you do nothing, then nothing usually happens" some see this as progress, some see it as changing our history????.

Its all become really boring now gwyn there was never 100million anyway if there was pmg/sam would be payed the much less amounts they wanted thats the bottom line and we move on with whatever it is they had inline with or without the fans after all they had red home shirts on order which we will be wearing away now before the leak come out thinking pmg/sam was just going to roll over and be waxed from behind which didnt happen. One of the malaysians tricks all along and i expect more to follow.

Now fair play that is funny

Got to love Tony, he does like a drink but he been a great fans fan and servant to the club for many years, not always seen eye to eye with him, but nowt wrong with that.he was telling us in the meeting, he managed to get in a pub outside West hams ground for the last game, he was still in there when it kicked off, he was walking out as they scored the first goal, he said f**k it, turned around, went back in and got pissed, leg end.

Don't know how you can categorically say there was no 100 million pound, there was a lot already spent having plans drawn up for the stadium changes, the training and academy centres, seems an expensive charade to go through.

And as for the payment to Sam and PMG, the amounts to be paid had been agreed, it was more to do with the way they were to be paid, i.e. small amount down and a small yearly amount on a promise, Now if I was Sam or PMG, I'd be far more likely to accept that sort of repayment if the Malaysians had stumped up with the 100 million and taken much more equity in the club, I'd be a bit more confident of getting money back from outright owners with that much tied up in the club.

In my uneducated guess, I think when the statement using all past tenses and mentioning they would look for other investors popped up Sam and PMG must have thought, oh f**k here we go again.
In Sam's eyes putting their money where their mouths were so to speak would have made all those involved breathe a little easier.

Was it all lost over a red shirt, seems stupid to me if it was, almost to petty for words, but was it more to do with disrespect and lack of trust, plus the bad press really hurt them and I know that for fact.I'm no expert in how things work in the far east, I have spent a good deal of time there and I have had a lot of personal contact with people from that area (well one did tell me she'd love me long time, hence the Thai flag cock up ;) ) but in my limited experience I do know that the slightest sign can be seen as disrespectful and lose a deal just on the smallest of detail.

Let's just hope they still see a future with us, if they do then they will either have to invest more or cut existing costs and losses to the bare bone, that way they may not lose anymore, but they will be a life time getting any return on their present investment, who knows?

Anyone watching the interview could see that you were tamping and as you know it was never the best time to do a live tv interview.Things have now changed since then so if you want to be negative towards the Malaysians then feel free. As you ended with a quote then I will do the same.“There are two primary choices in life: to accept conditions as they exist, or accept the responsibility for changing them.” .

We was never going to change them anything though, no amount of scaremongering in the press/forums online/twitter by us all would of changed what they wanted to do as the outcome as it stands now there is NO deals with the people needed to be payed off and no investment of this so called money because it was only on the basis of the people getting payed off thats clear as day now or sam would have his 10million he wanted and pmg would have taken there money/land revenue they wanted not shitty shares offered and both would be gone from are club for good. The malaysians changed the terms when it was time to all sit around the table unknown to the other partys involved to me thats shocking and there not to be trusted. Maybe in 6months time they might sit down again and try thrash something out but by then we got another 8million+ debt owned to them. Where dopes it end

I have found it funny because from the start I obviously was grateful they came in when they did, and I have said at that time i would have accepted the Mafia, and I wasn't going to suddenly start saying they were wonderful people and everything was rosy, in truth part of me was thinking, there must be something bigger behind this, coz we are in a mess, and who in their right minds would invest in us, I don't think some of those people Ridsdale wheeled out such as Ben Steele and the opera singer who lived in Scotland did much to reassure me that there were genuine investors likely to come in.

So in truth I was half expecting a catch, but as time as gone on, I have become more trusting and slightly more confident they were here for the full shift and good reasons, seeing them both glowing and taking it all in after the Palace game reassured me that they had been suckered in to a romance with us the notorious whore.

The fan in me was saying, how can they not want more of that love and adulation, that sort of feeling you can't buy no matter how much money you got. And then when this investment was brought up, I seriously thought we had them hook line and sinker, so to come that close and then feel we'd lost it, ripped me apart in truth.

I had actually started to believe it was finally happening and at last coming true, I was daring to believe that dreams were coming true, but you'd think after all these years I would have known better, but at least if it comes or when it comes at least we will be able to say we never did it the easy way or took the easy option.

Possibly they may have shafted us in the future, but as they say "better to love and lose rather than never love" and f**k me, I should know a bit about that. ;)

Thats one thing i didnt mention about that interview the only bit i have mentioned is the fans bit gwyn spoke about the rest i wasnt even listen to because you could see his veins was about to explode from his head and eyes about to pop out after being told what might happen to the club, i said this to annis on the phone i think he got caught up in it all and thought the worst the only bit that bugged me was the fans bit but again could be put down to being scred of what hes just been told this does not mean i dont like gwyn as a person or anything else that was just his opinion at the time and mine was diffrent to the owners which is still the same today nothings changed for me . Still it done and dusted even now when you think about it what has all this rebrand achieved bar war among fans and the malaysians not investing rite now due others will not willing to take 50pence a week payment plans

Possibly they may have shafted us in the future, but as they say "better to love and lose rather than never love" and f**k me, I should know a bit about that. ;)

I will leave you with this simple quote. "Change always comes bearing gifts"
