MALKY CONTINUES THE REBUILDING WORK

Sun Jun 03, 2012 7:35 am

City will up their offer for Coventry defender Richard Keogh this week, Malky is keen to add the versatile defender to the squad as soon as possible. Another player that has been mentioned on the forum is not a target of Malkay's and that is Man Utd's Oliver Norwood, the same can be said of Stuart Bevan.

Already we have seen that City are trying to strengthen their squad, with the well publicised interest in Jay Rodriguez and James Vardy, Malky is going ahead with plans for next season despite the continued speculation linking him with Norwich, my concern is not the job at Carrow Rd but if David McNally, who spent some time at Celtic, got Neil Lennon to replace former Bhoy Paul Lambert, I would think if that happened Malky would be a serious contender for the Parkhead job, hopefully Norwich will find a manager that will not affect Mackay's role at City.

City will employ an U21 manager for next season and Malky sees this appointment as a good link between the first team and the academy, the new U21 manager is already well known to us but I will leave it to the club to announce his new role.

As of yesterday there have been absolutely no offers for any of our squad members, fringe players Jon Parkin and Solomon Taiwo are likely to be released once the club can come to an agreememt package that suits both players and the club, Malky will continue to press ahead with the rebuilding job he has started at CCS and does not go on his family holiday until next month.

Why are we spending so much for a bench warmer or does Hudson or Turner not fit in Malkys plans....?

My guess for u21 manager is Neil Cox. I'm sure his name was mentioned with regards to a coaching role at the club earlier this season plus he has Watford links

Yeah my guess would be Neil Cox or Scott Young, probably more than likely Cox.

I remember reading that Cox was going to become a part of Malky's but I can't remember if that went ahead.

Carl, I imagine that our forum members will be slightly surprised of the new U21 manager, but not really disappointed with his appointment. He is a very good bloke and has Cardiff close to his heart so I expect him to have a good relationship with Malky.

I'm surprised Solomon Taiwo is still at our club, he can't have too much time left on his contract.
Two other players, Gerrard & Keinan,,,whats happening with them?

No it's definitely not Craig Bellamy! don't you think we'd have him in our FIRST team as a player?

You're already wrong, as you forgot the signings he made last Summer!

My dear Overthemoon....what happened last summer has now been confined to the dustbin of history, but seeing how you seem to enjoy living in the past, you could perhaps enlighten me as to what signings Malky made in the last clutch of transfer windows ??

Kadeem Harris on a permanent, Liam Lawrence on loan and Joe Lewis on a permanent only last week, but Isn't the January transfer window also in the past, or is it just me living in the past? :?

Re: MALKY CONTINUES THE REBUILDING WORK

We also signed Haris Vuckic in the last transfer window. Also, it was not for the lack of trying that we only had 1 permanent and 2 loan players come in in the last transfer window. If we weren't messed around by Brighton and Watford we could have had Craig Noone and Marvin Sordell playing for us. Anyway it has only just turned bloody June, I cannot believe that there are some people on here who are moaning about the slow income of players, it's ridiculous. Probably 95% of footballer's are on their holidays so it is a bit hard to sort out deals at the moment. I cannot believe that Malky is getting slated, he has not even gone on holiday or anything yet, he is still here working his bo**ocks off for this club. At least Malky tries to sign players early in the summer because when Jones was here we never signed anybody until mid July when most of the good players had already been snapped up.

Bloooooooooooooobirds.
