I do not care for the Royal family to be honest and don't get all this jubilee nonsense but the Queen doesn't get involved in politics. The alternative is someone always meddling in parliament and would be a pain in the arse. I don't think we should fund for things such as weddings and what not but overall they are decent for the country but to be honest I wouldn't shed a tear if they packed it in.

I feel British.

Welsh first, British second, and nothing will ever make me understand royalists/monarchists. We may have a constitutional monarchy, but the monarch still has inherited powers under the (unwritten) constitution and we are supposed to be 'subjects' not 'citizens'. How anyone can revel in a system of deference to a person or family that has status and power through an accident of birth amazes me. Long live the republic - when it eventually comes.

I live in England with English friends and an English partner - but the anti-English chants don't annoy me. They always sound ironic - like the 'sheepshagger' chants - and are usually a response (or getting retaliation in first) to the anti-Welsh chants of English fans (home or away).

What does annoy me are the anti-Swansea chants - especially away at places like Barnsley or Hull. WTF! It just makes us sound obsessed with our neighbours - and wallowing in it to people who do not care.

welsh/british... went to north Wales recently and half the cunts speak English, i have been mislead. happy days

As Celts we are the natives to this land. So in a way we are more British than the English. Who mostly are mixed race of French (Normans), German (anglo saxons) and celtic.

Keep that in mind.
