SO I'M AGAINST THE MALAYSIANS NOW APPARENTLY

Thu May 31, 2012 10:39 pm

f**k me, I pop out to the gym and then the bike club for a few hours, and suddenly everyone is telling me how I've turned on the Malaysians and change my direction like a hare, now here is my message from this morning which supposedly show I have turned against the Malaysians, now I wrote this and I've read it twice since, and I still can't see where I have turned against the Malaysians, so perhaps someone can point it out.

Have we given VT the excuse needed to say OK we carry on as previous, but we can't keep losing over a million pounds a month, so we have to trim our costs somewhere, especially since we have also got rid of any income the Blues were bringing us.

This talk of looking for extra investors, is that a bluff, how many people are going to pump money into a business allegedly seventy million pounds in debt and losing fifteen million pounds a year.

I think the next two months will show things that will determine our future, hopefully VT will provide the funds needed to bring in the new players needed if we intend pushing for promotion, and whilst some may say promotion isn't everything, Agreed! but for VT to protect his investment and get any return or attract new investors, I think most will agree that will only happen if the business become viable, and to do that we either need the Premiership and the money that goes with it, or we need to be a more efficient business and run with a much lower wage bill and monthly costs whilst hopefully increasing or at the very least maintaining large crowds.

Will that happen if we start sliding down the divisions, let's hope we don't need to find out.

If the Red or Blue thing was a smoke screen or bluff as some are saying, what if we had let's say called the bluff and totally gone along with things, surely VT being a "honorable man" would have had to come up with the promised investment or faced the wrath of the fans and justifiably so for breaking his word.

This is just me throwing some thoughts out there to hopefully stimulate some HEALTHY debate, I haven't got the answers, just loads of worries, time will tell, and whilst we may argue among ourselves the majority of us on here all want the same

Now as I see it and as it was meant it was more a case (as most worked out), to ask questions and stimulate debate as to the choices and scenarios open to us.

Never have i said I'm for the red for the sake of it, but as with the majority, if going red meant VT investing 100 million was the result then great, let's do it, of course we could agree and VT could shaft us, but he can do that whether we agree or not, surely if we had agreed then we'd be a bit more justified in asking him where was the investment he promised.

Is that being anti Malaysian or negative? isn't it a case of us saying you offered this we accepted it, now come up with the goods, wouldn't that have suited us. They didn't have to offer the extra investment, he could have just forced it on the club if he felt that way.

Sam? or Langston and PMG and all the others owed money by our club would obviously be happier seeing VT investing 100 million in the club in the form of equity, surely it would suit us as fans to be debt free and it would suit those mentioned if the debts were paid. Sam's view from the start was that once VT was tied in with a one hundred million pound equity holding, then surely what better show of their total commitment to the club.

I think all of us, fans and the money men have been at a loss as to how they have gone about things, not taking a controlling interest etc. and for them to suddenly come out and say they are going for it full on, made us all sit up and say well at last and let's push on.

I'm sure Langstons, Pmg and others would have been happier dealing with the Malaysians when they were in total control , but without a firm commitment to take total control, I am sure those involved are less than prepared to accept promises of future payback rather than a firm contracted agreement.

Sorry to rattle on and drag it out but really frustrated by some of the crap that get's spouted with no substance. I do hear things from one side obviously, but I always like to think I can work out both sides of the picture, and if anyone thinks my main worry is Sam/ Langston getting a great deal at the expense of the club making progress then dream on.

I would like to think there will be fair play all round, but the shennanigins that go on at this level of business I wont be holding my breath.I'd love to think the 100 million pound would have come if we'd gone red, and I can't imagines anyone setting out to deliberately lie to us, it would cause riots, the Ridsdale protest would be like a party compared to what would happen if we were shafted, and I'm sure the Malaysians would not want to lose face by bringing that on, but an offer like they made us don't happen to many times in a lifetime, I'm still hoping the investment in full takes place, but as I said in my original post, we may have given them an excuse to just let things stay as they are, and with the money we lsoing, how long can that go on for?

Gwyn Davies, still with the same view I have had all the way through, hoping that finally good things are in store for us and we can have some stability, if that means having some trust and then getting shafted, then willing to take the risk, because what other alternative is there?

In all fairness Gwyn, I would not say that you have changed to the point of being against the Malaysians but I do get the impression that you now realise that the landscape has now slightly changed and that backing them unconditionally to the hilt may now require a rethink. :ayatollah:

No. I disagree,,what we are left with is what I feared, as i see it all our eggs are in the Malaysian basket, they have been for the past two years, and as I keep repeating what is the alternative and when have we had any other choice. The last thing I wanted us fans to do was rock the boat, VT is an unknown factor and unpredictable, do we want to turn on him and drive a wedge between us if we can avoid it and draw him into a bit of a love affair with our club.

I am the least racist bloke in the world, but do I want some billionaire business men from the other side of the earth in charge of our club and destiny, and the answer is no, but like most football fans I'd imagine we would love to see our club owned by a mega rich local Cardiff City fan such as Jack Walker did at Blackburn or Dave Whelan at Wigan, but these rich fans aren't around and we have to accept the situation for what it is, weren't we all relieved when the Malaysians stepped into rescue us, f**k me I'd have welcomed the mafia as owners if it saved the club.

I don't think we were then or are now in a position to be complaining or that choosy, because as I see it and this ain't scaremongering, we got no other choice and yes, all our eggs are in the basket, so let's look after that basket.
If any other people have a answers or ideas, then chuck them on here and let's debate them.

TRUST THE MALAYSIANS? do we have any other choice?

I can see exactly what Gwyn is saying here and it all makes sense to me :

1. The initial offer of £100 million in exchange for the rebranding is far too good an offer to refuse.
2. The probable alternative of the Malaysians pulling out is unthinkable, as the end result of that could well be liquidation.
3. Given those 2 alternatives, the first one is the one he'd support (as would I).
4. Is there a possibility that the Malaysians would never have carried through with the rebranding if we'd changed colours? Gwyn doesn't think so (neither do I, and Carl also seemed to very clearly indicate his view is that the offer was a sincere one in a few posts).
5. However, we have to look at whether or not there is a possibility that they wouldn't have put the investment in - for the reasons Gwyn outlines in his post, he doesn't think that's a likelihood (neither do I) - but for those who believe they wouldn't have invested in any event, then some fans with their extreme reactions gave them every excuse to do nothing.

That's what I got out of Gwyn's post and I pretty much agree with all of it - and I'm still fully behind the Malaysians (and just hope against hope that they will carry through with the full re-branding and investment as initially planned) - and if they'd wanted to pull out anyway, why not just do so, as there was no reason why they needed to go through a charade to justify not carrying on with the club.

The real worry for me is that they have genuinely been offended by the reaction of some of our fans and will now walk away quite quickly, meaning the probable liquidation of the club.

We'll all know soon enough, as if Malky goes, then I suspect the investment is clearly off, and they will attempt to recoup as much money as posssible - from player sales, Malky's compensation and even the selling up of all the assets (land etc.).

If the rebranding and investment is still on, then there's no way that Malky will walk, as we would have much better future prospects than Norwich, as Like Swansea, I'd be surprised if Norwich were to sustain Premiership football for a long time.

Just my opinions, but I certainly don't see any u turns from Gwyn in what he's posted above.

Appreciate your response, and If I didn't now myself, I might have thought I'd posted it
But seriously, can anyone else come up with some positive ideas or alternatives, i hat being subservient to anyone and in my personal life it wouldn't happen and possibly that's why i had my own business and didn't have to bow down to a boss, but for the love of the club, I will bend over and take one, I am a City whore ;)

The fans never had any influence on the re-branding, that i can see now.....especially with the Langston deal having fallen through for the time being. If that had gone ahead, we would be in red in no time and nothing would change VT's stance.

We wont sell Whitts or anyone over £3(ish) mill as if im correct Ray Ranson gets 100% of it, anything under and he gets 0

I learned of Langston yesterday morning before I put a thread on here early evening, and with the thread you made Gwyn it certainly appeared (to me, who has felt like ur lone cheerleader on here at times) that because Sam was in a pissy cos he wasnt getting his money your stance on VT/TG was somewhat faltering. I may be wrong though.

GWYN you have gone from as below states in the last few weeks.

Posting a thread the night before this rebrand come out in the media after it was posted online this is what you said in your own thread as follows. WHATS ALL THIS RED NONSENCE I SHALL NOT BE HAVING RED AROUND HERE WE ARE A LOCAL CLUB FOR THE LOCAL FANS WE ARE NOT A FRANCHISE . now dont deny this to be some kind of joke as this is what you said before the thread went missing funny enough.

Then the very next day this whole rebrand was true as it hit the media what followed was nothing but shocking. With things like the famous legendary news interview here http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-18032351 slagging off fans to the extent of saying who do they think we are, yet your on tv talking about you own opinion on what you think about ALL US FANS WATCHING vs the rebrand.

Your then on here around the same week turning on anyone who wanted to stay blue with an opinion diffrent to your own even trying to bully people in many many threads because they thought for themselfs including myself and others VS the whole rebrand even swooping as low as racist comments and putting labels on people then threads disappeared somehow that you have posted in but these people know who they are not that i expect them to speak up, not only this you sent polo a private message with names of some hard people who would more or less sort anyone out who was Vs the whole rebrand issue if they didnt shut up. But you call this tipping somebody off yet others see it as a threat weather it was you doing the sorting of polo or bruce lee it wouldnt make any diffrence its still intimidation to somebody to change there mind on there own opinion on it all. This carryed on with the scaremongering over the last few weeks such as the club will fold the list goes on for anyone against red with an opinion diffrent to your own.

Now 24 hours a ago it come to some peoples attension that your mate sam(LANGSTON) is not getting payed any money and has pulled out of any negotiations with the malaysians due to him not getting what he wants and being tucked up anyway without going in to detail not that i need to but thats whats gone on. Then you make threads with little doubts over the malaysians and what there intensions are now which i have never seen you do before along with many others who have never seen this before yet would never ever see a bad word vs the malaysians before this, only to come down on anyone to make anything other than there are saviours posts. so why the change its not hard to work out.

You love sam more than cardiff city this is true, it was never about red/dragons/nicknames with you or the fake 100million investment off the malaysians it was about sam getting payed along the way while you bring down others who might have hindered this deal along the way, now i can see you slowly over the next few weeks starting to doubt the malaysians more and more in threads (watch this space people)

This is the soap story line of gwyn davies who talks for us yet mocks, belittles, insults, us all who does not agree with him over the last few weeks yet changes his mind more times than a five year old in a sweet shop to what he wants. It can only happen at cardiff city folks. I look forward to hearing a reply with cover ups from the fans speaker who is the only man you who trys to defending the undefendable.

You don't take things in do you, have you not read the piss take about the analogy between our situation and the comedy programme called the LEAGUE OF GENTLEMEN, i even put a you tube link up to show the episode, yopu must be the one person who still don't get it. I will explain once more for your sake, and then let me know if you finally get it, because it's like pushing water up an hill.

The Local shop theme is based on two very insular untrusting shopkeepers (now use some imagination and compare those two people to some of our fans, which is where the analogy came from)
Now this odd couple own a shop in the middle of nowhere, and they get no customers, and any that come into the shop are seen as outsiders (now again use your imagination, and compare these customers to the Malaysiaans, yet another analogy)
Now in the episode I linked to, it shows to road surveyors popping into the shop, only to be confronted by the owner saying "What's going on here, we'll have none of this nonsense, this is a local shop for local people now be on your way (yet another analogy, but surely even you are starting to see that slightly)

Now these surveyors, go on to tell the shopkeeper, that they are planning to build a new road that goes past the shop and brings them loads of business (can you see where I'm coming from now, I wont hold my breath)

Now where as most shopkeepers would be happy with this progress and investment, these two insular odd bods wont be having any of that nonsense around here ( getting it yet)

They wind up not only driving these surveyors out, but actually kill them and bury them on the moors, they then go back to happily running their LOCAL SHOP FOR LOCAL PEOPLE, but the joke is (yes it is a joke and most people can see that) there are no local people and everyone is seen as an outsider.

Please save this somewhere, and when you get confused again, please read, if still struggling, look at the you tube link, or ask someone to explain sarcasm and irony to you.

Please save this somewhere, and when you get confused again, please read, if still struggling, look at the you tube link, or ask someone to explain sarcasm and irony to you.

just as i thought it was all a joke like i stated above on my first paragraph. Well that explains everything ive posted then i guess  seriously gwyn not only do you have egg on your face with that reply but you have earned size sixteen clown shoes to go with the suit you have been wearing for the last 3-4 weeks which 99% of fans can all see now.

This is what you get for hounding somebody in everyway for weeks on end in threads over and over all because there opinion does not agree with what you wanted , i dont feel for you in the slightest ;)

I don't know what 99% of people on here you speak for but to the vast majority of people seem to be agreeing with Gwyn and not you from what I'm reading on here.

The truth is fella, he is a loner and does spend his life on the keyboard in make believe land, it's funny how people can base all their facts on what they read on a message board, they think that if a few post a load of comments, then that's the true situation, my view is most people make their own minds up , and looking at the polls we have seen, that more or less backs up how I see it,his best quote was "there are thousands of people who feel pity for Gwyn" it must have been the postman who told him, because he don't talk to many in real world land, mind you I'd stay close if I lived in stormtown.
