A PIVOTAL FEW DAYS ARE COMING!

Thu May 31, 2012 6:10 pm

If the Langston deal is indeed off and VT isnt going to take control of the club and enforce the rebranding (lets face it, we never had a say really), this surely means Malky's transfer budget must have been reduced.......I reckon if this is true, he will go to Norwich if they want him.

On the flip side, if the Malaysians really are with us longterm, like they have said and Malky has a sizeable budget, like he has said.....then surely Malky will stay.....why leave the chance of getting promoted to try and keep a club in the premier league, surely the glory would be getting an ambitious team there first.

I think the next few days will really tell us which way we are heading.

Just because he spent time as a player at Norwich, means squat.....he's a celtic boy and would deffo want to speak to them, not so sure about Norwich.

Dont forget we have the potential to be a lot bigger than Norwich will ever be if the malaysians play ball :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

There is a Plan B, get Langston back to the table and either take the deal that is on offer, or broker a slightly better deal.

For example accept £12m with a £3m down payment and the rest drip fed.

Or accept £10m with £5m down payment and the rest on a drip feed.

TBH if I had Sam's hear I would advise him that a bird in the hand is worth at least 2 in the bush, as the last thing Langston need is VT pulling out and leaving the club in administration.

Tony,

Im not one of Sams fans, infact quite the opposite but if a deal of £10m was agreed then changed to a part now part later arrangement, how does he know when he comes to collect the 2nd part they dont tell him to do one?? VT i bet, has more than ruffled a few high power players in his time, higher power than Sam.

If the £100m was true, then paying off £10m in one hit isnt a big deal......something seems a little off with all this......

Craig you make perfectly good points, but the way things are going Langston are heading towards a big fat zero. I don't doubt Langston's claim to £30m+ in 2016 but if they think a cheque for that amount is going to be paid then they are in dreamland.

Honestly I would go for a 50% up front payment now along with a cast iron legal agreement for the rest to follow, they could even get it in the form of a secured loan against the club.

It wouldnt come as any suprise if its all posturing by arrogant business men on both sides.

I don't think anyone could argue with that.
