The smoking ban..

Thu May 31, 2012 5:06 pm

Must be repealed.

It is nothing other than the forced eradication of working class culture, they want to rid the high street of the good old fashioned boozer and replace them swanky coffee shops.

The smoking ban is only the start, I do not smoke but pubs should have the right to decide :old:

You're so clued up Mr Davies. I agree whole heartedly. Please enlighten our fellow messageboarders of the dangers of taking away civil liberties too ?
You may be a grumpy old so and so when the sun ain't shining , but when it's out you light up like a star.

Iv'e seen this f*cking country change right before my eyes, the price of pints have quadrupled in the past 10 years almost. What will working men do to unwind in the future if they can't have a fag and a pint down the local? Women don't give it out like they used to back in my day I find so a good shag isn't and option, wouldn't surprise me if the government made up a legislation against that soon as well :old:

The answer is they will turn to drugs, and I don't f*cking blame them to be honest. Gone are the days the working class man had simple pleasures in life. We are continually being squeezed from every angle financially and what little we have to spend on our leisure time is being taken away from us.

SAVE OUR PUBS OR THIS COUNTRY WILL GO TO THE DOGS :old: :old: :old: :old: :old: :old:

Smoking is a disgusting habit. I hate it. The smell is repulsive, and i don't want to die from breathing in second hand smoke that has been through someone else's lungs. My Wife smokes and she knows how much i hate it.

Pubs have never been better without the stink of stale smoke. You wanna smoke out side you go old fella :D

Nukes I am not a smoker. However pubs ought to have the RIGHT to decide whether they want smoking to occur on there premises? It is akin to me inviting people to my house then telling them they must be naked to enter :old:

40 pubs a week are closing. 40. About 40 have closed in Cardiff alone since the 90s. They are a dying breed and I am very concerned that this is more to do with the islamification of Britain rather than to benefit our health.

I think you'll find that it's the price of booze in pubs compared to what you can get in the supermarket is the real blame.

Are you seriously suggesting that smoking was banned because of Islam? Aren't they the biggest smokers on the planet?

My take is - if anyone wants to smoke then smoke, I don't give a shit. BUT I don't want to smoke so don't force me to.

If the thick people who smoke want to do so then they should be allowed to do as they please. As long as it's in their own houses with the windows firmly closed. No where else….ever.

Same can said for the Welsh language.

Pubs should have a right to decide, and yes it is down to islam. They want all pubs to be closed, that's why smoking hasn't been outlawed full stop. Its there business and if people don't want to smell smoke they can f**k off down to the local cafe :old:

I'm so glad it's banned. But why do smokers think it's ok to leave cigarette ends wherever they smoke. Why do they think it's ok to just throw them down or out of car windows. Plenty of smokers on here answers please.

Well tough f*cking titties. As it stands I don't have to f**k off down the Cafe. I can drink in any pub I want without stinking of smoke and smelling like a scruffy fucker. And it's great! Another Stronbow in there sir? Cheers!

No Nukes I am asking for the smoking ban to be optional, not completely outlawed. It should be at the discretion of the landlord :old:

No because he would then be liable (The Landlord) to being sued. Mainly by bar staff who are forced to work in a smog filled Cancer causing shit pit.

No because it would be made clear to potential workers that it's a smoking pub, if you don't want to work in a smokers pub then you don't have too. Work in the non smoking pub down the road. No one forces people to working in smog filled cancer shit pits.

They are told the risks before they take the job, they may be smokers themselves? There are fag butts all over the floor outside pubs nowadays, it's not good for the country. Many on here who are pro smoking ban will be the first to whinge when there are no pubs left to have a pint in :old:

Fag Butts will rot. When ever i go out i never have trouble finding a Pub. But you don't get the point do you, they may be smokers but employers have a duty not to kill there staff  Because some may feel pressurised by poverty to take any job. Considering a few years back someone not putting out their fag in a pub led to someone dieing (massive fire) I think its a great choice it as banned.

Here here pal, here f*cking here.

I see myself as a labour voter but nowadays they do not stick up for the working man. Let people do what they want, it is nothing to do with our health. People have believed the propaganda and lies purported by the government, the real reason is because they want pubs off the high street.

One thing I will do if I was prime minister is raise the price of fags to £10 a pack. All the thickos who want to smoke can if they want but they are going to have to pay a HUGE amount for that right. That way we all benefit because they are paying for a nurses wages for an hour with every pack they buy.

I will never be taken to the dungeons Gwyn, iv'e booked my wife in though... :old:
