Firstly, I wore my city shirt around Kuala Lumpur and did get recognition from a couple of passers by in the street which I didnt fully expect.
More interestingly however, I saw maybe a dozen people in 24 hrs wearing QPR shirts around town, with the premier league badge on their sleaves. But, these QPR kits were not their blue and white home ones... Every single one of them was their RED and white away shirt (it may even be their third shirt?) I found this surprising anyway as surely the home shirt of a team is more favourable by the majority of people to buy if you support a team? Also it was alot more QPR shirts than I expected to see considering they have only been in the prem for 1 season, and I only saw a handful of Man U and Arsenal shirts.
Then, on my next Air Asia flight out of KL I noticed they were actually selling the Red and white QPR kit on board the flight, but not their home blue kit! I know that they are sponsered by Air Aisia and red is their brand colour, so maybe that is the logical reason why they just sell the red away? But it just seems wierd to me why you wouldnt sell the home kit as well as the away?
Anyway I thought this may be of interest to a few people as I dont post here often. Will try and attach a photo!
