SO WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE?

Thu May 31, 2012 9:35 am

Have we given VT the excuse needed to say OK we carry on as previous, but we can't keep losing over a million pounds a month, so we have to trim our costs somewhere, especially since we have also got rid of any income the Blues were bringing us.

This talk of looking for extra investors, is that a bluff, how many people are going to pump money into a business allegedly seventy million pounds in debt and losing fifteen million pounds a year.

I think the next two months will show things that will determine our future, hopefully VT will provide the funds needed to bring in the new players needed if we intend pushing for promotion, and whilst some may say promotion isn't everything, Agreed! but for VT to protect his investment and get any return or attract new investors, I think most will agree that will only happen if the business become viable, and to do that we either need the Premiership and the money that goes with it, or we need to be a more efficient business and run with a much lower wage bill and monthly costs whilst hopefully increasing or at the very least maintaining large crowds.

Will that happen if we start sliding down the divisions, let's hope we don't need to find out.

If the Red or Blue thing was a smoke screen or bluff as some are saying, what if we had let's say called the bluff and totally gone along with things, surely VT being a "honorable man" would have had to come up with the promised investment or faced the wrath of the fans and justifiably so for breaking his word.

This is just me throwing some thoughts out there to hopefully stimulate some HEALTHY debate, I haven't got the answers, just loads of worries, time will tell, and whilst we may argue among ourselves the majority of us on here all want the same thing, well hopefully we do. :ayatollah:

We carry on in Blue and stop spending money we don't have. All we have to do is look at Leicester to see that throwing money at the problem isn't the solution.

Who the hell do you think you are to question where we go from here? It is none of your business you customer.

Its nice to see a post where you point out both sides of the fence or possible outcomes gwyn, you have some good points in there. I do not see VT going for any sort of promotion unless we get the others payed off for him to take total control that way they can not turn around and say for example PMG- we want more money now as we are in the prem due to sky payments along with other money streams to follow.

As for the blues well there gone and there was only one reason behind that really which may or maynot come to light (rebrand) from our point of view. One good thing out of is are pitch not looking like a sunday park pitch with sand/dog turds on it at times even if the new lights have done a good job.

I hope we get some players needed but again that boils down to REAL money which MM has to spend, hes bound to know what hes got to play with budget wise for next season or maybe he dont untill we get more from the malaysians on the whole rebrand soap story line even though we have supposed to have bid in the media or players linked. I got no answers to the what if we start a slide down the leagues same as any other answers to lots of other what if's as there could be an endless line what ifs for us all to try guess.

The extra investment that TG speaks of in his open letter i think that was always the case with or without the rebranding going ahead but rite now its not really SHOUTING out to investors from the hilltops come put your money in me like you said due to the money leaking from the club on a monthly basis. I can only see people comming in if he has full control really and we are in the prem.

Was it all a bluff for them to pull out who knows but i really can not see them walking away from what they have put in. Why didnt they go for a push last season to the prem knowing what we needed to do or face another season of massive outgoings, was that another reason to do with the sharks still being on the board again who knows.

What i do know is this as fans its caused a massive devide between us all who want red or blue for there own reasons which is really sad because at the end of the day we are all supporting the same side yet taking other opinions to heart along the way (myself included) because its not the same your own.

From my point of view i want city to survive im no diffrent to anybody else but on the other hand i do not want to play in red or chant dragons from the stands either but again nobody really knows if this will happen in the future only thoughts and opinions say it might happen or might not from the red or blue camp. I just can not see how changing the are clubs identity will bring endless ££££££. Lets hope for some more news from over there thats if there is any to come or maybe we have already had it.

An interesting point in the last paragraph asks the question would VT have stumped up the promised investment if we had totally supported the rebranding as he is a honourable man? I am not suggesting that he is anything but honourable yet Malky was promised a war chest in Jan when he needed it and for whatever reason it did not appear.

I dont know hat else we can do but to take one step at a time and see where it leads us, time will tell. I cant see the point in panicking as were are all just speculating in what may have been, if its all doom at the moment where do we find the money to finance such a expensive training at Uefa headquarters in Nyon, near Geneva.

Simple answer is we have a season similar to the last 1 BUT City's debt will more or less be £20mil more come this time next year unless we reach the promised land !!

True martyn but we could of said the same this time last year about the debt its not as if the owners dont know this is the case to follow every season unless we get prem football last season we still missed out because we didnt have the squad to do it or didnt get people in, will we do it this year who knows yet untill the start of the season then we will see what we got to go with. :ayatollah:

Firstly Baz, Gwyn is more than big enough to fight his own battles and he doesn't need your help. He's quick enough to dish it out, so I don't think I'm wrong in saying he's big enough to taste his own medicine. If you notice, several people are "engaged" in battles with him, and it is clearly due to his hostile and inflammatory behaviour.

Secondly, if you look at most of the dialogue that me and Gwyndler have had, you'll notice that the "stalking" (I call it replying to a post") is done by Gwyn.

I would say go and check, but MOST of it has conveniently been deleted. Including a very serious allegation against me. Now, as a foster parent, you know well the danger of having serious allegations being made by people, even on an internet forum.

Buy cheap, sell high. Sounds like we could get a lot more for turner, Gunnarson, whitts and mason than we paid for them. It's the only answer to breaking even without promotion to the premiership.

There is another way of looking at it Martyn, Langston settle for £10m we will wipe £14m off our debts (current debt £24m - £10m (loan from VT) equals a +£14m saving) plus we would have the naming rights up for sale.

Vt was never going to invest a 100million for many reasons i really dont know where we get this 100million figure from as it was only a suggested figure in one of the meetings with fans reps by people on the board talking for the malaysians on the night of this meeting about the rebrand. For a start VT will not settle pmg/langston THERE BOTH DEAD DEALS AS IM TYPING THIS (not that it may not happen again in six months but rite now there dead) it was never about the 100million all of this.

VT couldnt give two flying pigs about what us fans think weather it be dragons/red shirts to go with the inhouse fighting which is the sad part, So all the shouting from the forums and scaremongering of him walking away was pointless by us all whatever camp we was in red or blue besides the new home red shirts was on order before it all come to light that says it all about how he cares for are opinions as fans or fans leaders as they say.

When the meeting come langston had an agreement which we was all told is ready to be signed by all involved and the same with PMG on here and in the media we was all told about this its all 99% done bar signatures. Come sitting around the table time all in the same room ready to sign to speak THE MALAYSIANS had changed the agreements again as follows, sam wanted ten million upfront he walks away we all move on and same with pmg. This was changed to three million in one payment and seven million over the next few seasons in bits to a total of ten million which is still eighteen million less than whats hes owed to start with (28 million) im sure if sam had agreed these new tinkered terms and pmg to any of these new terms the malaysians would be claiming in the media TWENTY EIGHT MILLION PAYED OFF TO LANGSTON & PMG GONE iwth us fans bowing down to them but this was never the case. Whats to say they wouldnt mess these two parties about again next year would the malaysians grind down some more on langston/pmg with payments along with new agreements being wrote up again when it suited them, so nobody can blame themeither for pulling the plug on any deal.

We got a 1.2million pound a month leak going from the club what are they doing about that?? because i wish somebody would tell me bar sit on 7% apr when they have have to bridge the gap monthly. We have a ray ranson deal (the riddler  ) where players worth three million who are sold ALL THE MONEY GOES TO HIM so the malaysians dont sell players because theres nothing in it for them yet we take the dont offer new contract to some players worth millions let them leave for free like burke, jay, others route.

If the malaysians are serious about TAKING US TO THE PREM AND GETTING A RETURN both pmg/langston need to go first now if there all going to argue over how things are payed when both partys want a 3rd of what there owned what hope as fans have we got of these deals getting done sometime soon whats worse is when things are agreed yet the malaysians turn around and change it on SIGN HERE day unknown to both partys like already stated. These are the same people who want prem football but wouldnt langston/pmg want more money if we was in the prem due to more money streams comming in to the club like sky money ect ect yet here we are no further than we was 12months ago with both partys that we need to get rid off for sure if we are to move on.

All we get to hear is the malaysians are paying 1.2million pound a month to keep us afloat from fans who claim there some kind of world savious but clearly there not as nothings been getting done about this 1.2million pound every month for two seasons at all nore will it change.

As for all this bidding for him or linked to this player in the press thats another whole story again but above is about PMG/LANGSTON after all nothing is ever going to happen with the 100million dream some fans have been creaming there pants over untill both are from the club so ask yourselfs this WHY ARE THEY STILL HERE if the malaysians want to move on and have 100million yet do not agree to agreements already agreed but only change the angle on the agreements when all partys are sat around a table.

If people want to reply to this with there i know nothing or wall of text bullshit then fine but what ive wrote is nothing else but 100% of what i know is going on and went on in the past (last few weeks)
