The first i heared about the jacks wanting Malky was from the HTV News tonight
The early front runner if / when Rodgers is the new Liverpool manager is -

It'll most likely be Poyet. But why don't they go for Martinez? They may not get him but he arguably knows the club better than anyone and let's face it, Wigan aren't exactly going places.
They'll obviously go for someone whose current club plays in a similar way, so one of Poyet and maybe Holloway along with one or two others from Europe (if the jacks have been keeping an eye on La Liga managers) will get it.
Personally, I'd go for Martinez, but Poyet is favourite I think.
