Cardiff City midfielder Aaron Wildig has agreed a deal to become Shrewsbury Town's second close-season signing. Wildig, 20, initially joined Town on loan in November, playing a handful of games before his deal was then extended for the whole season in January.
But he ended the season as a regular as Shrewsbury finished strongly to win automatic promotion to League One.
And, after it became clear that he was being released by Cardiff, Town boss Graham Turner has moved quickly.
Town made their first signing for 2012-13 a fortnight ago when they brought in midfielder Asa Hall from Oxford United.
That offset the loss of another member of their promotion-winning midfield, Nicky Wroe to Preston, along with defender Shane Cansdell-Sheriff, while skipper Ian Sharps has moved to Rotherham.
I know he has been released but In my opinion i think its a shame as he had so much promise but injuries and loans out didnt help his cause. But players come and go and this is another one but being home grown, scoring against Newcastle and setting up the winner against Swansea is a testament to the Youth System we have and more players are signing Professional Terms. The Future looks bright. So all i have to say is All the Best for the future and thanks for your commitment during your stay here.
