A forum for all things Cardiff City

I am posting this with my limited understanding of the way football finance works but am sure a few on here will try to educate me.
If we were lucky enough to secure investment that gave us a premier capable squad we could do the job however if we didn't manage to hit the target what happens next year?
The new fair play rules come into play which limit how much a club can spend / lose etc and judging by current figures kicked around on here we woulddn't match the criteria.
So the question I am asking is as the fair play rules do not apply to the premiership is it going to cause a bigger divide between the championship and the premier league and also is it going to lower the transfer fee / wage expectations of players as they know clubs will have to operate within that framework?

Like all things new it will take a while to make an impact. It is only when clubs start to realise that they will be caught that they will start taking action.

Not sure how its going to work hence asking the question but from what I understand the 3 clubs relegated will be exempt for the first year but other than that everyone else has strict limits which will seriously impede any championship team from getting to the premier league?

There is a way past it, which Cardiff have in place and that is to be your own sponsor.
