Blue Dragons?

Mon May 28, 2012 8:34 pm

Apparently the colour Blue symbolizes immortality in China. Dark blue is a color for somber occasions like funerals and deaths but our shade of Blue is certainly not 'dark'

I wonder if someone could suggest to VT that he thinks of marketing us as the 'Blue Dragons' in China?

We could be known as the 'Immortals' and the only rebranding required would be adopting the Dragon as our motif?

Just a suggestion but it could possibly provide a compromise acceptable to all sides and provide VT with a unique marketing oppotunity.

I'd rather be Red Bluebirds than Blue Dragons.

Although the idea could grow on me.

It would have to be a Chinese dragon though. A blue European dragon would look stupid.

Had forgotten about the Blue Dragons until I read Joe Dwyer's book recently. A timely reminger that a good farce is nothing new at CCFC.

I was reading CCMB - an interesting post there re the possible reason of the red dragons, as the possible reason behind the change - as Vincent Tan was born under the Red Dragon star sign....

Fair enough but they are not really very helpful thoughts.

People don't care about us in China and won't until we win the league and get bigger than Barcelona. That will never happen.
