Is it true ?
what Ive been reading,
Craig Bellamy told the(a group) Welsh fans who went to New York to take the NO GB flag down ?
Is is also true Ramsey then just walked of the pitch at the end and never acknowledge the 220 plus Welsh fans who had flown all that way to support them ?

Rhys Hartley said on Twitter that the Bellamy thing was true

but the Ramsey thing is false, there was a picture of him on Facebook applauding the fans yesterday.

Cheers Rhys, I thought Ramsey was never like that.

Was Bellamy right in what he did, trying to protect his fellow player ?

As a senior member of the team, that's what I'd expect from Bellamy, defending fellow players.

The players should be allowed to play for team GB, didn't the FAW say before that they weren't going to condemn those who protested against it? If so then that is wrong in my opinion.

I have to agree with Bellamy. It was a Wales friendly game. What did Team GB have to do with that at all? I don't blame Ramsey or Bale for wanting to play for Team GB. I don't care what FIFA say, I don't trust them, but so long as there is the country of Wales and us Welsh fans, there will always be a Welsh football team so I don't know what all the paranoid worry is about.

If any welsh player wants to be play for Team GB, then they have every right to. We are all the Uk, and the olympics in london has become a whole Uk event.
I look forward to cheering them on in the summer.

Bellamy is a passionate guy and not afraid of making his own opinions known.
Recently we have had complaints on this MB that the anti-red brigade are being shouted down and not allowed to express their opinion on the rebranding.
Therefore same people can't then complain about Bellamy making his views known surely?

More utter bollox from the FAW, scaremongering they should have their own slot on here !
A 1off tournament we may enter every 4 years for predominately u23 players. We should be encouraging our players to play, what experience for the unlikely event we do qualify for a major.
Uefa & Fifa need the smaller countries to pad out the qualifiers, obviously no perks for our FAW folks in the Olympics.

Can't see there wasn't any reason why he shouldn't be allowed to express his opinion

I'm pro-Team GB, but does he really have the right to tell fans not to express an opinion?
Mountain out of a molehill maybe.

So you think that the Olympics is a major football tournament then?
Britain never enter a men's football team for the Olympics and never will again, after these games.

The irony in it all is that Bellamy has a massive Owain Glyndwr tatoo. Lol Mr Glyndwr would turn in his grave he would have defo been in the no team GB, Ha !!!
Mon May 28, 2012 12:32 pm
Appart from the FAW does anyone care that much to actually take a flag along to a game? I mean what was that guy thinking?
On this non-issue, there is no way in this world that FIFA would have the guts to declare England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland to be one country. Even without Northern Ireland in the mix there'd be rioting in the streets.

Yes Bellamy does have the right to express his opinion that the banner is unhelpful and should be put away, however the fans have the right to refuse to take the banner down.
