Cardiff vs Wales

Simple question...

Who do you think would win if Cardiff played Wales at a neutral venue? No worries about player clashes due to the lack of Welsh starters playing for Cardiff.

I reckon Cardiff's tenacity could see us grab a 2-1 win. It would be close though. :ayatollah:

With Wales' full strength side?

If so, no way City would win. You're talking about some of the best players in the country (and Europe, if talking about Bale or the potential of others such as Allen and Ramsey) in Bellamy, Ramsey and Bale.

Yeah but even when Wales are at full strength I just feel they don't play as fluently as a club side.

Oh yeah, agree about that. Wales simply don't play enough games to get maximum fluency. But I still think that the quality of players alone would be enough, and could be ample for us to give it a really good go in these forthcoming qualifiers

Tonight wasn't great, but when you take into account the conditions/weather (which the Mexicans are so used to and we so aren't), the quality of the opposition (20th in the world rankings and near full-strength due to upcoming qualifiers and friendlies), the fact that we were without key players (primarily Bale, Vaughan, Blake, Hennessey and Ledley, and that's without even mentioning Collins or Gabbidon, both of whom we could have done with tonight since Blake is injured and Gunter has barely played centre-half in his life), and that this was just a typical end-of-season friendly for us, whereas the Mexicans have important games coming up, as aforementioned.
