Serious question for the swans fans.

The season in the champ when you were promoted to the Prem. Was there much confidence that you were going to do it, or was it a great surprise? Did your club 'chase' the dream or was it something that simply happened as a result of luck more than judgement.

I ask this only as I feel Cardiff have 'chased' the Prem by having money thrown at it from the Sam hammam era onwards.

I get the feeling with the Malaysians on board we are yet again expecting to be promoted or should we not expect and just see what happens.

Be good to hear from a jacks perspective on what they felt throughout the season they clinched the Prem.

Well I'll stick my head up above the parapet.
Truthfully no we haven't chased the dream in as much we haven't been reckless in buying in players (Huw Jenkins has seen to that and imo thats not been a bad thing),we've been making steady progress since our darkest days (wouldn't wish it upon any one one & I mean anyone .) We've had a board who have brought in successive managers who pushed the squad nearer to where we are now ,we haven't spent big just wisely
When it became apparent during 2010.11 season we were in with a chance of making a play off place and staying in with the rest of front runners then I think more of us thought that this could be the year.
Believe it or not getting to Wembley was for a lot of fans, the icing on the cake and if we lost then so be it just great to be there and push on again next year ,but at 3-0 up that feeling changed (don't blow it now )but we came close to imploding when Reading pulled 2 back and if they had got another then I believe we'd have lost (thats how close the margins are between winning and losing, the thickness of the goal post) I really didn't think we'd finish where we did but neither did I think we would embarrass ourselves .My opinion is that a bit of luck but more good management got us where we are ,throwing money doesn't aways bring success (lowers the odds though) and hopefully that will continue ,
