What you consider as a little change is a big change to others.

5 days after losing the playoff final against Blackpool at Wembley a General Meeting was held at CCS to approve the £6m investment by VT & TG that would allow the club to settle it's outstanding tax bill with HMRC. In the immediate aftermath of losing the final many were saying that VT & TG would cut and run, that they were only here because of the possibility of a short cut to the Premier League and that they wouldn't have the appetite to take on a club heavily in debt and at risk of being wound up in the High Court. But thankfully VT & TG were as good as thier word and made the investment that secured our immediate future.
On the day TG addressed the meeting and said " Cardiff City is a Welsh insititution that is now representing two nations, and there is quite a journey ahead of us". He also said he was "deeply priviledged "to be Chairman of Cardiff City Football Club.
I am not sure people are doubting their commitment at all,i think you are twisting things,,,most people want them on board and welcome the investment, what people are trying to understand is ..........
How taking the Bluebird off the shirt and changing our home colours to Red is going to all of a sudden propel us to the premiership?
The jacks,Reading and every other team who got there didn't need to do it,they did it buying good quality players who fit into their style of football and employing managers and staff who can lead, they didn't spend huge amounts of money so why do we need to change.Once these questions are answered we can move on.
P.S Can anyone tell me why we have all been left hanging after the big meeting?
He closed by saying "We must not forget that Cardiff City is a business and needs to be operating within sensible financial guidelines. He said that he and the rest of the board will therefore be involved in plenty of strategic planning during the weeks and months ahead."
Since then VT & TG have continued to provide financial support, to the extent of £1m per month, but still some doubt their commitment. Why?
Two years on VT & TG have developed plans that will leave our club virtually debt free, with a new training ground that the club own, the development of an additional 8,000 seats in the stadium and the rebranding of the club to involve the possible change of first team colours and club badge.
Unfortunately these plans were leaked and since then we have had an almost none stop tirade of disinformation about the intentions of the major investors in our club. Even today there are posts regarding the renaming of our club, and yet on the 10th May TG wrote an open letter to all fans stating " I can categorically state there were never any plans to rename the club. Cardiff City Football club has a rich history, which we are honoured to celebrate and share"
In my opinion TG is a man of honour, integrity and dignity and when he says there have never been plans to rename our club I believe him. Why on earth others still feel the need to doubt his word I will never understand.
But whatever your views about the possible rebranding today I ask you to think back two years and remember how you were feeling, and how much to have enjoyed the last two years and ask yourself " Without VT & TG where would we be now"
The ask yourself where you want to be in two years time and are we more or less likely to be there without VT & TG.?
Today I send a sincere thank you to VT & TG for everything they have done todate for the club I love and I look forward to the future under your professional leadership.
