Our toughest season in Championship to come..

Sat May 26, 2012 5:38 pm

Next season will be a tough campaign with clubs relegated, those promoted and those that remain.
At this point a repeat of a top 6 is I believe not feasible, with our current team, that's my opinion.
Our owners statement of intent I have said will be revealed in due course and I still fear that our current owners may no longer be committed for the long term, due to the well documented issues - and I am not alone in that opinion.
Their statement of intent I do hope is made public sooner rather than later, as if it right that bids will be coming in for certain players, which I do hope are rejected, subsquently materialise - then such a statement will be clear for all to see, without the need of a documented statement.
I do believe all of this speculation both positive and negative is damaging and divisive - A statement from our owners - whether it pleases some, all or none needs to be made - at least then we will knowand be able to then put in perspective our thoughts about the challenging season ahead.... if indeed we still are fortunate enough to have one if the club is still heavily financially supported.

I think so to,

And we re gonna buy players so saying top six wont happen just yet, is a bit early as nobody knows who's coming in and going in the near future.

Definitely not, there have been way harder seasons. Next season will be tough but it is every season.

Totally agree.

Like everyone thought West Ham and Leicester would run away with the league.

That's a fair comment, re each season being said its going to be tougher, but the reason behind my thought was our poor run, not through lack of effort but tiredness, being over stretched for the few games before and after the Carling cup run and that at the end to.
Therefore if it is the intention of the owners to withdraw from the planned way forward for the club, by allowing players to leave etc and replacing the same just to fill gaps in order to decamp in the long term - then pure grit alone will be differcult week in to match that of more stabilised clubs with such quality players they have at their disposal - I know it's an opinion at this time, that's why a statement whether documented or by way of acquisitions or movent away from the club, will give us a better picture to make an assessment.

Been the same for us past 3 seasons in fairness. Challenge for 1st or 2nd for a few weeks then slowly drop into play offs and hang about in there. :ayatollah:
