Cardiff City fans deliver their verdict on the club

Now I didn't take part in this survey (and you've really got to ask how many did), but nevertheless, some of the results are strange to say the least:

Why are Whittingham (arguably our best player this season), Vuckic (who barely played for us), and Lawrence (who performed well for us, overall) getting a mention for most disappointing?

It's typical of our fans (our media in this case) to single out players without whom we would not have achieved what we achieved this season. For instance, Miller is singled out, and so is Mackay, to an extent (no prizes for guessing why). Now I understand this criticism towards a) Miller and b) Mackay for not playing Earnshaw more than he did, but doesn't all this continuous persecuting have a detrimental effect? What will those questioned think?

More than half willing to let Whittingham go for £5m  I've never understood individuals who think like this. If Rodriguez is worth £8m, then surely Whittingham is worth more than half of £10m? 13 goals and 13 assists without missing a single minute of league action this season.

70% in favour the rebranding proposals? I can comprehend why but surely this is not a true reflection of the fans' opinion. How many CCFC fans are there, in total? And how many of them took this survey? I rest my case. I don't mind the Malaysians at all (after all, they are keeping the club going every month) and I would very reluctantly accept whatever they have in mind in order for the club to survive and prosper, but I still don't like the fact that we'd have to ditch blue for red.

Media Wales, eh

It's an absolute farce!

If they want to carry out a proper survey - why not mailshot all the ST holders on the CCFC database, and provide all their questions on an easy to fill form? and provide a Pre-paid and pre-addressed return envelope!

Useless.

It says the survey was 1,500 fans. That is quite a sizeable survey. Only the club could ballot Season Ticket holders and even then they could not send out ballot papers as you have a right to privacy and may not have ticked the box allowing mail shots. They could however put it on the official website and even then not everyone will fill it in, in fact you'll probably get about 1,500 again.

What amazes me is that people get amazed by other fans opinions if they differ from their own. I said Whitts could go. I said Earnie shouldn't have got more game time and should not stay which goes against your opinion, I also said Whittingham could go for £5million which you also disagree with. Its not just the amount its where the bid came from. Anyone coughing up £5million is going to be in the Premiership and you have to take Whitts opinions into consideration. I dont think he'd go anyway.

It's all opinions and I'd much rather people accept that opinions differ than castigate those whose opinions differ to their own. 70% for rebranding from a 1,500 survey is massive and I now know I am in the minority.

Just because the results dont suit your opinion doesnt mean its wrong. 70% doesnt surprise me at all. In fact 100% of the people i have talked to have been in favour.

I also said that whitts could go for 5mill,IMO he is over-rated he went missing 2nd half of
the season and tends to go into his shell when the team are not doing so well,he would
become a better player if he lead by example, showed more initiative and grew a pair!
