iPhone help

Can anyone help!i got a iPhone 3GS running 5.1.1 but it's locked to orange,anyone know where I can get it unlocked and jail broke for as cheap as possible??most glad if anyone can help

Also I haven't got a pc or laptop to do it myself

You can't unlock it then I'm afraid - 5.1.1 has a baseband that is not possible to unlock without help from the network provider. Only way now is to register a brand new sim card on pay as you go with the imei number from that phone, hold that agreement for 3 months then orange will unlock it after that period - your only other option is to use google and research Gevey Sim - although I'm not sure if that's available for 3rd gen iPhones?

There are ways to Downgrade software back to earlier editions, but only if you take the measures needed to do so. This requires a Jailbreak in the first place - you can then save your previous iOS shsh. blobs (which are old iOS settings markers if you like) using a program called TinyUmbrella & iFaith.

Your only downfall is that once you upgrade to a new edition of Software via itunes it also updates the BaseBand (or Firmware Version number - Which you can find in [settings>general>about] and this is NOT downgradeable in anyway what so ever.

Your only hope is that you can find some edition of this: http://www.phonesreview.co.uk/2011/10/1 ... d-choices/ that works with your model of phone, and software and BaseBand.

If you already have a new Pay As You Go Orange Sim Card in there, just make sure you register your phones IMEI number to that sim card number - and once you have used it for 3 months - you can ask orange for an unlock request - I know this works as I did it with my iphone4 as well, and I am now on 3 network too.
