As of Friday morning, we can confirm that former Peterborough United goalkeeper Joe Lewis has agreed to sign a contract with Cardiff City.
Twenty-four year old Joe - a former England under-21 international - has put pen to paper on a deal that will commence as of July 1st 2012.
Joe made a hundred and ninety appearances for the Posh between 2008 and 2012 after signing with the Cambridgeshire-based club from Norwich City. He will now link up with former Norwich colleague David Marshall, who committed himself to Cardiff City earlier this week with a three year contract extension.
good signing tbh.

posh hammer wrote:Hi guys,
Posh fan here. Just thought I would give you a little heads up on Joe as we have witnessed his highs and lows over the past 4 years.
When I say highs and lows I mean a few highs but a lot more lows.
Fergie was Joe's biggest fan, and when the fans were calling for him to be dropped, Fergie stuck with him until enough was enough and since Christmas he has been our number 2 behind Paul Jones.
On his day, and that day very very rarely comes, Joe is a game winner. He has good reflexes for a guy who is 6ft 5 and is a fairly decent shotstopper, even a championship standard shot stopper. He has been involved in 3 promotions with us and has played his part.
2 years ago, there was talk of multi million pound transfers to Tottenham and Liverpool. That talk evaporated and he ended up being number 2 at a team who finished 18th in the league. He kept 1 clean sheet this entire season!
Now for the bad sides of Joes game. His kicking is very erratic, often ending up in the stands, his ability to catch the ball is unbelievably bad. His judgement on crosses is woeful. He is the quietest player on the pitch and your defence will have no confidence with him behind them. Also, for such a big guy, he literally must way about 10 stone. Ive never seen a skinnier man in my life. This often means he's scared to come for crosses or drop at a strikers feet.
He had a lot of potential, but unfortunately, after shipping almost 200 goals in 2 and a half seasons (including one promotion season), that potential seems to have disappeared.
I hope for your sake that he can get to the standard we thought he might have got to 3 years ago, but please don't think Joe is going to propel you to promotion as I fear you will be extremely disappointed.
I have a feeling he may start as your number one, and by the end of the season end up as your number 3. I certainly hope he proves me wrong though!
Good luck for next season!
