Can Everton afford to splash out much at the moment?

I can't see Everton splashing the cash on a Forward, they are broke and they've got Jelavic, I think they might spend their limited cash on other positions

Maybe mate - I have a feeling Man Utd will come in for Jelavic to replace berbatov and unfortunately then they may have a few quid. I guess it depends whether that happens quickly, if at all. No source by the way, just my gut feeling.

Would Burnley sell him to a championship rival? Surely there are other Prem teams interested who could offer more than us.

Not even worth speculating as it won't happen. The player probably doesn't even want to come.

Jelavic is not united standard.

Everton will probably lose Baines to them though so will need cash to replace him.

Jelavic is quality - scored goals wherever he has played. Already shown he can do it the Premiership, where many from other leagues have failed. Not sure what else he can do, but I think he's been a revelation for Everton and can only get better.

Fair points, and agree, but honestly he is not good enough for a top 2 team Fletcher scored 12 for wolves who got relegated don't make him United standard. They can and will get better though.

He has a good eye for goal but think being "the main striker" at Everton and back at rangers helped.

You forget berbatov banged goals in for spurs while there too, didn't male him a regular started after his move.
