Sorry its my second Swans related post but they both heavily affect our signing of Jay Rodriguez. If thi is true then theres no way they would be after another player who would command a similar fee.

German Media Suggest Sigurdsson Deal Is Done










German news source Bild.de are reporting that Hoffenheim have sold Gylfi Sigurdsson to Swansea City for just over £7million.

In an article outlining Hoffenheim manager Marcus Babbel's squad plans for next season, it says that he's looking to trim the squad, with up to 16 players possibly leaving. He wants to add quality over quantity as well as selling players that aren't interested in being involved in his side next year.

Gylfi Sigurdsson is one of those players, as he hasn't hidden the fact that he wants to leave and join a Premier League club this Summer.

After Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins jetted off to Germany in the hope of agreeing a deal for the 22 year-old recently, Bild believe the two clubs have settled on a fee of 9million euros, around £7.2million.
