Joey Barton, would you want him next season ?
Thu May 24, 2012 6:30 am
Oh! that's a tricky question, if Malkey could sort him out, maybe, although Barton is an out and out prick, I have seen him play some very good football, when he is not being sent off
Thu May 24, 2012 6:34 am
NO!
Too much of a liability, dont know whether he'll do something stupid from one game to the next, he hasnt learnt in 29 years, hes not about to start anytime soon. Horrible c**t.

Good shout, class player, but a problem player, someone will give him a chance and prob on half his current wages, they will pay him off, maybe.

Is he actually any good?
If I had the choice between Whittingham and Barton I would pick Whittingham any time
Thu May 24, 2012 6:42 am
While he's the kind of player who would do a great job he is not the kind of personality we want at city, so I'd say no, even on a free.

Only if we lost a few central midfielders, we already have whitts, Gunnarson, cowie, Ralls, mcphail, kiss. If he was a pacy winger or a big frontman with the same baggage I would consider him but with the wages he would be on he wouldn't offer enough more than what we already have.
And he is probably at the top of the list of players least likely to be signed by malky and the recruitment team.

Not worth it. If he was Bellamy or Giggs or something who was absolutely amazing then it might be worth the risk but in my opinion he's a lower Premiership midfielder at best and with that attitude about him I would want us to go near him with a barge pole.
Thu May 24, 2012 6:55 am
Annis, talented as he may be, the blokes a liability, imagine him getting sent off and costing us a game or two, our fans wouldn't be as forgiving as QPR fans I reckon! and no disrespect to Malky, I don't think he is the type of manager to tame him
Thu May 24, 2012 6:57 am
YES
Thu May 24, 2012 7:12 am
A firm no

do you honestly believe he'd last 2 weeks in town without a slap?

He won't last 2 hours here with Dai Hunt

No, why sign a player banned for 12 games?! Causes trouble wherever he goes.
Thu May 24, 2012 7:47 am
On his day he's a good player but he is too much of a risk for me - he's never going to change and with bans and maybe injuries you'd be lucky to get half a season from him. I'd rather we resigned Bellamy - while he may not play every game, he will give his all for the cause.

No, thanks. The club still needs to improve its image and I don't think he would help.
Thu May 24, 2012 8:23 am
No. A liability and wages would be stupid.
Thu May 24, 2012 8:23 am
yes please... thats the type of palyer we been missing for a long time.. as long as malky sorts is head that is
were is hart on his sleeve
Thu May 24, 2012 8:28 am
No way the player is a complete tosser and brings trouble to every Club he goes too.
Thu May 24, 2012 9:00 am
The reporter on SSN earlier said that if QPR terminate his contract they would be cutting the wage bill by 70 - 80K
Thu May 24, 2012 9:25 am
NO!
There's no point in saying "if Malky can sort him out," because no one can.
Thu May 24, 2012 10:13 am
Wouldn't want to touch the overrated, racist thug with a bargepole
Thu May 24, 2012 10:46 am
A big no, another player with a big ego......I think he would do more damage than good. Whilst he may be a good player, he does need to sort his head out. I wouldnt risk on the basis he would damage the back room spirit and the values that are being put in place within the club.

Reportedly on 81K

and a total prat who can't stay out of trouble too much of a risk so it's a NO from me
Thu May 24, 2012 11:37 am
No wayyy. Good player but a liability. Just like Balotelli.
Thu May 24, 2012 11:37 am
No way! He would ruin what we have in the squad, Malky wouldn't touch him and thank god for that! He's a vile, dispicable human being and he's overrated as a footballer. QPR just avoided relegation despite all the money they spent and all the players they brought in. Why? Because they had Barton as their captain. He's a liability and even the QPR fans were criticising his performances last season and he definitely wouldn't be worth the wages he would demand.
Thu May 24, 2012 12:27 pm
No chance, he's a first class c**t.
