That's a fair point and I could happily agree if MM can spot players who appreciate in value and get us promoted.
The weight of expectation though is now all about quick success. We'll get 2 or 3 who appreciate in value - Mason, Whitts, Kiss maybe, sell them because we realise an investment and then start again... We'd have to get lucky one year and go up otherwise we'll become the Everton of the championship

Where has this £5.5M come from? Both Johnson and Fuller are available for free! Its a now brainer for me, sign the pair of them up Malky! Rodriguez is good but doesn't justify his price tag, these two would be a pretty prolific partneship in the Championship!

£5.5 is ridiculous, we should never pay more than £3/£3.5 million.

Ricardo Fuller would be a revelation in the championship, if we can get him on a free (obviously high wages though) it would be great.

I wouldn't pay over 1M for both of then, both are old now, both are quite injury prone I think and Fuller has a bad attitude that would not fit in. Because of their age and injurie problems I'd doubt they'd cope that well in the Championship over 46 games, look at younger talent please.
